Default Cleaning product

what is the advised detergent for cleaning the roof on a cabriolet, just got mine and its been stood for a year, alot of grubby marks and a few greasy spots, roof is white so shows em al

hopefully be on the road monday so want it perfect by then

Just to add aswell, is there any good products recommended for protecting the roof, mines a mo-hair. Its also covered in cat hair from the neighbours cat and some claw marks

Auto glym do special stuff my missus used it on her roof thats mo hair, worked a treat

right have tried every product i can get my hands on, even had a go with a few kitchen products as well, i got black smears up the rear quarters of the top, its a white roof n looks shite!!!! any ideas????

Alternately has anyone got a good qual mk5 roof up for grabs?? prefur black!!! needs to be for power hood, glass rear heated screen.

Have a look en eBay mate, theres people selling vinyl covers for about £120 to fit yourself onto your frame, theyre not that hard just take your time and it will be ok

still would rather get a clean roof, so far the cab has cost me under 150, not bad for a 91 rs2k replica.

Dont want to pay out untill she is mot'd and tax'd just in case, so clean would be prefured, then again for 120 on a nice black roof is good

you no how it is tho, soon as t&t is done im going to drive it!!!! so i got 2 choices, drive with the shitty roof or clean it up, just what to get the crap off, i can get it gleaming but the black smears just wont shift, am going to bite the bullet and use blody cif on it at this rate

Its probably penetrated the vinyl mate If you can afford it i would of said get a Mo-Hair they look so much better IMO, mine had a literally brand new Mo-hair so i was lucky, although the frame was bent and it didnt line up for shit
