alrite folks im new to this turbo malarky, ive just baught a series 1 rs turbo so when im on my way home with it there doesnt seem to be any boost it whistles away nicely but it feels like a glorified xr3i, but no smoke & no starting problems, sorry for this if its commonly asked
its also standard apart from egsaust & k&n

Try putting a boost gauge on it, and check all the clamps on the boost pipes are tight, you could have a leak. Even as standard you should be able to feel the extra pull when the turbo kicks in around 3k rpm.

as above get a boost guage on it see if its boosting or what psi its boosting!
also if its whistling it might have got a loose boost hoseform the turbo or intercooler
