Hi,
ive got the engine cranking over, but its not kicking..
ive got spark.. and i pulled off the fuel line that goes into the fuel regulator.. and it didn't seem to have much pressure..?? it's a bosch motorsport efi pump. if it were left to pump fuel into the atmosphere freely should it still be at high pressure??.. ill have to get myself a multimeter and do some checking i think.. the battery is almost dead again.. so ill charge it up and have another go tomorrow.
does the ecu itself have to be earthed ?? or does one of those brown wires do that for me ? and can the brown wires be connected up to the body of the car or does it have to be on the intake manifold ?
What are some other common mistakes that people make when wiring up there cossie's ??
once again any help will be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Damion.

which fuel pipe did you check? the one that is jubileed to the regulator? if so, that is the return and will not have pressure. you need to check the one that goes to the fuel rail at the other end to the reg. but you should easily hear if the fuel pump runs or not.
with the ignition switched on, unpug and plug in the phase sensor (inside the dizzy) and the pump should run (or at least it does on mine with L6 ecu)
