Dunno if anyone can help, Got a punto 1.2 2000 W reg.
the warning light that looks like an engine is constantly on.....what do i need to do to fix it? could it be a blocked fuel filter.

It says in the punto handbook:
When there is a fault in the injection system. The warning light should come on when the ignition key is turned to MAR and go out after a few seconds.
The warning light will stay on or come on when travelling to indicate imperfect operation of the injection system with possible loss of performance, poor handling and higher fuel consumption.

Any ideas?

 

that is a engine warning light mate get it put on a diagnosis machine as it will be in limp mode now as well

 

would most proberble be coolant temp sensor or lambada sensor

 

it went out today......see if it comes back on or not....if it does i will get it tested....cheers

 

i work on fiats m8. they dont always go in limp mode depends on fault ,commen faults r engine ECU which looses pules feed 2 coil packs and incorrect spark plugs can bring the EML on due 2 incorrect risistance plugs. realy needs 2 go on fiat examiner, r other diagnostic machine.
