Default Piston slap!!!!

Is piston slap a problem on start up on a cvh engine???

It goes after 2-3 seconds and the engine runs a dream after that with oil pressure on start up 65-70 and when the engine is warm mid 20's so should i be worried or not???

Thanks

yeah i'd tend to agree with the above, if the noise really goes in 2 or 3 secs i doubt there's much to worry about

Even a brand new cam can do it!!! Its not the cam its the lifters lose hydraulic pressure over night, and in this cold weather the oil is so thick they tap for a couple of seconds until they fill up with oil again.

Fair enough then if the tuners have said its piston slap but i cant think of a logical reason why it would do it for a couple of seconds on start up then stop, IMO its the top end, but thats just my opinion
