My brothers 1.7 puma has the following electrical problem:

When the ABS light and the traction control light come on the air con switches off and visa versa.

Is this common and how is solved?

Having looked in the wiring diagrams, the only link between the 2 systems is F13 in the Central Junction Box in the dash which supplies illumination for ABS, TCS LED's and also feeds power to heater control panel.

maybe a loose connection or unexpected earth somewhere on that circuit???
