Electrical Query
Right got my bearigns sorted!!! finally, what an idiot I was, but only recently after the snow in Brum, I have noticed a really strange thing with my wirning loom dash etc. When I first start the car from cold and I turn on the washers or the window wipers they are really solw. Then I noticed that if i depressed the throttle the rev counter wouldnt work then it would cough and the rev counter would start working and the window wipers/washer jest would start to work properly again. Any Ideas or anyone iwth a good loom I got bout 60 to spend but it must be mint condition and have all connectors etc.

Hello mate
Found your post
Right, based on the other electrical problems you were PM'ing me about before i'd say you've got some serious problems with the loom in this car.
One thing that does spring to mind is the alternator wont usually charge properly until the revs have gone up slightly, but it really shouldn't affect things like the rev counter as there should be more than enough juice in the battery. And as for coughing..... ???? i presume u mean it momentarily miss fires/bogs out?

yes I think, sorry i Know i have a crap loom. but all is good, i got a new ish loom from a turbo last night for £30 with all relays and no wires cut!!!!!!!!!!!!. what a loooverllly catch!!!!!!
Now all i need is someone to have a good look at it and recover it etc. so it looks bling bling in the engine bay. know anyone who could do that test and re cover the loom?
