ive got a saff cos 2wd running 315bhp thats got a s.e.c monitor fitted, how accrate are the figures it gives?
i ask this because today while sitting in traffic the screen started flashing saying alarm engine temp to high and showing 96degrees yet the temp gauge on the dash was reading just under half.
does any one know how to operarate,set up or got a instuction booklet they could copy for me please
any help would be great

The SECS monitor gets its readings direct from the ECU sensors and, from my experience of Cossie temp gauges, is far far more accurate than the temp gauge.
I would assume that you have a cooling issue (fan switch not working or the usual dreaded melted fuse box issue) rather than the SECS giving false warnings.
Some one will have an instruction manual somewhere.
