Never run an engine without a thermostat. Ever.

Never Ben.
It regulates your cylinder head temperature, and running them with no stat often never lets the head get properly hot. Thats almost as bad as running too hot. Why exactly people think they need to run without one is actually beyond me...

the engine would NEVER be running at it's most effiecent (spl) temp which in turn could cause other general running problems!wanting to run it WITHOUT a state would lead me to think that there being a problem with high temps b4!

get it checked out 1st ie rad etc!

People that take the thermostat only do so because they are either bodging bastards or don't know whats wrong with their car and its the easy and cheap alternative. If everything is ok your car should run fine in the summer with a thermostat.

Have you ever tried driving a car with no thermostat in the winter..........i think you tried it you would opt for a thermostat.
