First, a big sorry for my english.

I've got an escort zetec from 1996. When standing in front of the car, the shaft that comes out of the steering rack at the right side connected to the wheel must be replaced. But I can't get of the rubber of the steeringrack to disconnet this shaft (I don't know the right word for it).

It's almost hidden and you can't get nearby. Has anyone got experience with this to solve it. I must get a MoT, but with this it can't pass.
