was you last box not straight cut in 2nd and 3rd only? this is fully straight cut

as for the £2100 new thats only for gear kit you then have to pay to have it built into a box which will cost you atleast £400.... my box has been fully stripped inspected and rebuilt with new bearings and syncros at the cost off £770.... as for my price at 1950 ONO i will accept £1700

you wount get a dpe gear kit for any less than £2500 plus vat as i spoke to pete last week about this, then you need to spend another £800 getting it put in your own box with new bearings etc,so a bargain, would of bought it my self if i hadnt just bought a bara box

The box has done about 1100 miles and 900 off them were motorway miles driving to central day, as for power my car is 450bhp 430lbs... I have no idea what the are rated too you would need to spk to Peter himself

Is this box out of an escos or a saph?
What else is needed for the hydraulic conversion that doesn't come with the box?

BEWARE OF THIS SELLER THE BOX WAS FAULTY AND WOULD NOT SELECT 4th GEAR!

HE LIED THE BOX WAS UNTESTED AND NOT USED FOR 1100 MILES BEFORE REMOVED

We should have a new rail this w/e so should be able to turn it over / start it up this weekend and know more but neil is worried something isnt right.

Adam

i havent mate no? but was fully stripped down and checked??

story with the box is it was fitted to iains car when he bought it from neil, and even when he bought the box there was a slight crunch from 2nd to 3rd but neil told him that mike rainbird had said not to fit a quickshift as it would be beating the syncros, so iain removed the box from his car and the quickshift knuckle.... handed it into to our local gearbox place called charles butler transmissions, they stripped the whole box and said that there were wear on 2 off the syncro mesh and also a few bearings were tired so he replaced all the syncros and fitted a full bearing kit, which cost him £780 in full he has a reciept for it aswell, then he fitted it back to his car drove the car to central day and back which was a 1000mile round trip and he said on hard driving he was still getting a slight crunch, which he spoke to dave (mallard escos) and he told him that it wasnt right and to hand it back into the place who rebuild it, he also phoned bara to ask and they said it could be a slightly bent selector fork, so he handed the box back in to charles butler which was with them for 3 weeks and he was getting pissed off with car bring off the road this was where i said i would buy the box off him which i paid £1500 for, he then went and bought and paid £3k for a bara box, i got the box back from them saying they had fullly stripped it down to check and said that they fitted yet another new syncro mesh on 3rd gear as they couldnt see any problems with the box what so ever and put it down to a (dodgy/faulty) part ???

so im guessing the box should be spot on as iv never had it fitted since, iv just phoned iain and hes going to send me the number over for charles butler off the reciept, let me know when you get a chance to fully test the car with the box fitted

NOW HE TELLS ME ITS MY PROBLEM.....
