I got myself a 135i today and it came with the remote in the picture. The dealer thought it was a switchable map and it does fell quicker than I thought it would.There is a tiny led beside the steering wheel that flashes red and goes amber when the remote buttons are pressed. Any ideas?
Ive found some images on google of a similar fob which says its an immobiliser for keyless entry so that looks a bit more likely than the switchable map nonsense. Still feels quick to me but I have had diesels for a long time.
Yes, they were easy to steal via the obd port, check it has had the recall done on injectors and the security up date. It saved my car when thieves tried to nick it from outside my friends house.
Sport button seems to sharpen the throttle. The ecu limits torque in 1st and 2nd.
