First lot of mods completed

Chromed roll cage, crome wheels hubs, off road tyres, spare tarmac wheels and tyres added to rear deck.

Relocated light switch under rear deck and plumed in fire extinguisher, lots more mods to come...

New tyres have arrived!

They maybe a little bigger than I expected. So these may go on the 8 wheeler hill climber and those wheels on this one.

I just keep doing um to keep brain ocupied mate.

This one became a bit of a pain last night as instructions aren’t the best, they don’t tell you were to route wires and not even what chanels to fun the reciever on? Strange as only conds with two remotes to assuming 2 or 3 receivers will be on aame channel.

Also had to mofify wheel wells a bit already to aconmodate bigger tyres lol

Got as far as rear driverrain and noticed the slide gear on the lift mechanism was wrong and didn’t allow movement so got one from my spares...

Also one of these was missing from kit so again to my spares lol

Had to relocate the pin for the side spare wheels as due to bigger tyres or they wouldn’t have fitted.

Started my usual mods on the controls to make them more stable and also look better how I like them all to match.

Kit came with the tiny steering wheel for the truck and larger one for controller, small one looks silly so off to spares again lol

How it stands at the end of this evening...

Started on it again this evening and as I’d decided instructions made no sense what so ever I stripped down and started over, this was strip down I needed to do to get to see all wiring routes.

When testing the drive it was all locked, found fault in centre diff, fitted piece which stopped shafter from spinning, top wrong one bottom correct one.

When testing decided it was under powered, 7 motors and 4 receievers for one battery pack was to much imo so fitted two and ran recievers in oairs to power.

First time ever for me, faulty wiring! Managed to repair the receiver fault but the motor fault I found I gave up on and replaced as one of the 0.5mm crush pins flew out when I opened up, never going to find it so for now in spares bin.

How it looks again today, same as yesterday lol but today everything works!!

The only comes with two remotes wich is strange! As it has four functions that cant be controlled unless you change remote channels which is a first for me.

So I’ll be running three, other functions are locking diffs - lifting a d lowering ride hight - winch - lights - high/low ratio gearbox

Haha

23007 complete and advise anyone NOT TO BUY not because of sellers, partly to do with current level of quality of R:C parts! & mostly do to with design, its awful! Even when using “L@@@“ gears etc it still doesn’t want to work the way the high & low ratio transfer box is designed!
Also diff locks are a good idea but not very well implemented.
Massively under powered, needs 2 x lithium batteries ideally but by the time you realise the former is pore you lose heart with it.
I can’f see this one living in one piece for long, most likely be stripped for parts when I need them.
Shame as I really looked forward to this build.

The Black Knight Low-loader & friends 23007, 23011 & 23012 soon to be joined by 23003.

Will take better pic’s when sun comes out!

Even though massive disappointment with 23007 looks good in company...

Nexr one on order lol 23003...

So I've finally got some more lego coming, just purchased the Lepin Millenium Falcon UCS so hopefully that turns up quickly and is complete. Got it off toy store on aliexpress on about the 5th attempt at getting a card accepted.

Done a tad more this evening and got to the first motor and it failed, it worked for a few seconds then seized and continued this so its the motor had it, good job I’ve got lots of spares but I will be asking the seller to replace along with any more that don’t work as I go.

I was trying to find the group the other day, I was a member on there and for some reason fb decided to mess with the groups I was in and I couldn't remember the title. I was looking for a few different names but not the right one.

Just answered the questions to join again. Thanks for reminding me the name.

I remember when I was on there before and lepin was really popular a few people mentioned that the falcon is good but there's a couple of small bits that need modding when its being put together so that should be interesting.

Good to see the group is still going and its growing well, just glad lego ain't tried to close it down like others.

My mate sent me a picture of the lego mack truck, I had a quick look and sent him the lepin version

Shame the red model was a bit naff

The land rover looks cool. Could you build a back and roof for it. Or you could even make it into a pick up.

They closed down a lot of pages and also one of mine but I banned logo’s from this group group and seems to have done the trick fingers crossed.

Completed both front and rear cross members now and really imprrssed so far with what I see.

It has full working brake set up! Discs and calliper set up in all 4 corners, can’t wait to see how well it all works and egages.

These non Lego sets are getting rather good. Working Calipers is pretty advanced! I loved building the Porsche. I got the Lepin one as Lego never made a white one

My white Porsche is my favourite! Love it, it’s R:C now too.

The advanced builds I’ve been doing are Lepin taking peoples build designs from the internet where they sell them usually for around Ł10 and putting them into production, I’m not sure how I’d feel about it if it were my design as they get no profit from the sales afaik but least they see it orodiced which is more than Lefo would ever do.

Yeah some of the kits are getting good. I doubt i'd even bother with lego tbh they are only interested in the end profit and not making stuff people like/enjoy. I really like the megablocks enterprise I built, good kit and was sensibly priced as well for the size.

Might look into finding a light kit for the falcon that is reasonably priced as most sellers i've seen want more than what i've paid for the full kit.

I saw in the group earlier someone else upgraded his one to a new one, trying to find out the reason he upgraded was a complete nightmare and I gave up in the end. Only thing I can think of is there is more pieces in the new kit so more detail on it. The one I got is something like 5500 pieces, I think his new one is 8500 pieces?

Haha have fun!

I’ve continued with the LandRover and got all running gear and geae boxnin.

Head scratching atm as instructions do not show any mechanical or motorised way for gear changing.

Also changed wheels to black as Indon’t like the other colour ones...

34 pages in of 154 and i've had to take a break for a bit. So many same colored bricks is a pita. Found two pieces missing that i've had to carry on past and i'll try source later as I think they might be a bit important (and no its not han and chewy ) Needed to have a break, dogs got serious gas so was stinking out the room while I was trying to build it
