It would be double that price now for such a nice example!
Thing is now, there are in my opinion only 2 types of Sapphire Cosworths left, rusty, poorly maintained shit boxes (as you call them) with deluded owners thinking they can still top money for them and very well looked after ones owned by enthusiasts who have spent lots of money on them to keep them in tip top condition. These are the ones that have gone up in value a lot and as there are fewer and fewer left now they will probably continue to fetch good money especially the 2wds.

3drcozmess.... you got a bargain there.

Ive used my saff for the last 3 days. Its the first time ive used it for months. The first few minutes driving it i thought fookin hell the inside is all rattley the steering is heavy, the clutch is heavy. Than after a got over that i just enjoyed it.

It's still quick(to me) for what it is to. The amount of attention it gets is mad too. People stop and stare, people pointing. No doubt there just saying "look at that old shit box" lol.

It has given me a lot of pleasure over the years and I dont regret what its cost me. Mine was never bought as an investment but as a car to be driven and "properly" used!!
Paid Ł8k for my RWD in '95, never imagined I'd still have it now.
Just wish I'd had the foresight to buy a 500 at the time instead.
Been of the road about 4 years now though, major works ongoing, and it's flint grey BTW.

Tim that looks better than new, you have put a lot of effort into it. I bet you are looking forward to getting it back on the road. Dry roads only I would think!!!
