Focus ST225 gearbox vs ST220 gearbox!

Hi guys, apart from different ratios is there anything stopping me putting the internals of a Focus ST box into the casing of an ST220??

Aren't they completely different boxes? From what I remember my Fathers ST220 had an MMT6 box with reverse in the top left and his T5 had reverse in bottom right?

the ST225 box is an M66. I doublt the internals will be transferable

Probably not. It's a Volvo engine so will most likely be a completely different stud pattern and shaft spline.
Can't you just replace it with a standard box?

But the ST220 has an MMT6 and the Focus ST has a 6MTT450 correct? From what I can gather they're essentially the same.
