Default Blacktop front mount alternator kit for Escort?

I recently bought a Mk6 Escort with a monumental amount of bodges, fixed all apart from one which has just cropped up. 2.0 Blacktop, the current alternator bracket has a spring loaded tensioner on it but the way the belt is routed it's basically acting as just an idler. it doesn't have power steering but still the belt runs round 6 pulleys but in theory only needs to run round 4.
So i need a different front mount alternator kit (adjustable) and an idler pulley somehow. Kits are available but only for rear mount alternator for kit cars but theres just no room for that.
I hope this makes sense

Would it not be worth re installing the power steering?

Failing that there used to be a pair of brackets available on ebay to do what you want, you would need a erst alternator and bracket, a pulley off a zetec onto the erst alternator and a idler pulley.

Had a look on ebay for you, can't see the parts anymore.

Crazy cage does the top bracket you need for the idler.

The alternator bracket you could have made quiet easily, if you get stuck I can tell you how to draw one up.

If you don't get fixed up I will draw around mine as I think my engine and box will be out soon as I blew my gearbox last night.
