Has anyone changed this? Should it be possible to change it with engine still in the car? Does the jackshaft pulley need to come off?

yes its fairly easy to take off with the engine in the car, just don't drop anything into the hole when its removed!
the jackshaft pulley can stay on from memory

Ok maybe I should use a bit more force then, I already took the bolts off and tried to pull it off very carefully but it didn't want to come off. I guess it's just the sealant holding it then as there should not be anything else in the way anymore.
