Not often a supermarket has a car related special but 2 weeks I noted a large car cleaning kit they were selling for £12, no doubt was not a great seller so they have dropped prices down to £5 a box which is a bloody bargain it has to be said seeing as its got 5 x 1 litre bottle of cleaning products etc

Not a bad deal that, I used to use demon shine on my old banger, works quite well.

 

cant knock it all that for a fiver even if not a fan of carplan stuff

my stash away from the kids or they will use it all on their cars

 

Nice one, I'll see if they got any left up here... I'm confident, nobody round here seems to clean cars, just leave it the the Romanian roadside washes...

Carplan stuff is actually pretty good, seems to be pretty well reviewed on detailing forums.

 

Cheers for the heads up mate, I bought the purple wheel cleaner from
Halfords last year think I was £8 just for that

 

seen it for around that myself, just washed one of the cars testing it out and found the wheel cleaner soaped up well getting off the brake dust and the shampoo was exellent very foamy and left no streaks after a chamois, as for the tyre dressing will have to find another way of applying that via a cloth etc as with low profile tyres you will spray the wheel by accident

 

Will be going to morrisons tomorrow. I just hope there are some left.

 

I picked up one the other day. But there were plenty walking out with four or more boxes. One guy say me looking at his bulk purchase and said that he was going to flog them for £15 each at boot sales!

 

What a tink doing that.

Just checked and our local store have sold out now. Wish I had bought more - wasn't sure if it was any good at the time.

 

Just watch out that the wheel cleaner isnt an acid type jobbie, it will eat your wheels!

 

Drove 10 miles to my nearest morrisons earlier, they didn't have any, no gap on the shelf either.


It wasn't all bad though, got a few other bits and the bird on the till was fit as fuck. Managed to get a smile off her too. Maybe i'll go back next Saturday and see if she fancies wanking me off or something

 

states non caustic but all depends on your wheel cleaning methods as any wheel cleaner can do them no favors if left on too long, quick blast of the karcher soon gets it off

my 2 mates just went round to our local store richie and bought last 12 boxes between them

 

unless it comes with a free pole to come around and do the buffing ill stick to the £4 jet wash once a month.

Looks like a trip to halfrauds for some wheel cleaner as my home concoction of under sink mix is running out

 

We needed shopping so decided to go to morrisons this time but unfortunately they never had this kit, they did however have a rather tasty beer that I bought at the Nurburgring and haven't seen it forsale anywhere over here so chuffed about that.

I did not rate the demon shine spray if honest so poured that down the drain however the bottle is bloody usefull and the rest of the kit was spot on, my local store is cleared out now too so I am guessing thats it

 

I wish i got some when it was 12 quid lol. Im suprised they have sold out cause i cant get over hiw many people to take cars to the foreigners to get washed cause there too lazy.

These are the people who dont really care about there cars.
