Just thinking the same myself. (PS3 version). Graphically not as 'sharp' as the previous version. Also, how do I get rid of other players voices in multiplayer? I have turned the 'voice' volume all the way down, but all I can still bloody hear is "F this, F that, Mother F " etc etc? Anyone else having this problem.

I actually preferred Medal of Honour

I played it tonight round a m8's and thought it was excellent. Got him to level 5 in no time before his internet packed up. Wifey is getting it for me tomorrow )

 

i love it.single player is way better than mwf2.

I'm really enjoying it, although, being sniped by a guy with an MP5 from distance is really annoying.

Loving the class builds though! Great idea for customisation!

I HATED MW2 on PS3 (my main console) yet I loved it on 360.. Bought Black Ops for PS3 and apart fromt he odd laggy game and the Sniping, pretty chuffed with it.

Oh, and is it me, or is there a major lack of Sniper levels? Used the Sniper class once, and gave up!

This is the first COD game I have bought. I forgot it was even out, went to trade in some old games and they did an offer on it. So I only paid Ł5.

Its alright, obviously i'm not very good at it. Still i'm not blown away by it as everyone has told me I would be.

 

Not a bad game really, when I got MW2 I thought it was shit because I was crap at it.

Once people get used to, play all the maps. Customise themselves then it will get better.

1st Team Death match and I got 22kills, then had another match with retro_al and got a multipack of whoop ass off the other team.

Also one dig at the game is when you or the opponent respawns it's sometimes to close, for instance the small map with the dummy's.

 

Crap.... Slow, laggy, jerky & appaling graphics IMHO. Been playing it for a few hours now, still not impressed. Might well find itself on Ebay very soon, MW2 is miles ahead, and 1000 times more fun to play I think.

 

I haven't bothered with this one as I didn't like WAW and had a feeling this would be a let down, but my son wants it and will want to play online with me :headbang: catch 22 really.

 

Having had a crack at the single player and multiplayer last night, its good, but probably not as good as mw2.
I dont have any issues with the graphics, but I didn't find the level design all that. The single player levels seem to be full of bottlenecks where they just throw waves of enemys at you, rather than just make a good level lol. Wasn't mega impressed with the multiplaer maps, but only played about 10 games so need to give it more chance.

 

I bought the game yesterday about 11am and had it completed by teatime on regular! quality game and had a couple of hours on the online gaming last night which was also good! just a bit annoying getting used to new maps again etc!

 

Still no sign of it arriving here yet.....

I dont like it either mw2 is a far better game imho , i was expecting it to be new guns more advanced but its went back the way as above you get re spawned too close as well total let down

 

Mine hasnt come either, Fucking shitty tesco wankers. Going to call them and have a rant in a bit.

Luckily my little sis got her copy yesterday so i had a few games on that last night.

Phoned Tesco Entertainment, Actually had an option on there automated phone system for Black Ops so obviosully having loads of problems with delivery. Totally useless as they cant track it, wont give a refung until 10 days have passed. As far as they are concerned they sent it sunday 1st class and should have been with me by now.

Even if it comes, as long it doesnt have to be signed for, im going to say it hasnt come and get a refund of the useless twats

 

Shocking service never again form them

 

Thanks Sunil. ...I was gonna phone them if it hadn't arrived by this afternoon, certainly won't be using them again, crap service and not what I'd expect from a company as big as Tesco.

My mate convinced me to give it another go last night, i played online for a few hours, it does get slightly better but still pretty poor.

I can be shooting someone for ages only for them to turn round and wipe me out, im finding hip firing is the best way to play it for now.

The campaign is pretty good.

I played Mw2 last night and it was just so fast compared to it. I struggled to keep up, but after a few games normal service resumed and i was kicking ass.

As for muting people on the ps3 i have no idea, but on the 360 you can mute everyone from the xbox home screen in your privacy settings. Its a bit hard to find with the new homescreen though.

The only people that moan about quickscoping are the ones that are shit and can't do it

 

quick scoping is bullshit.. Its aiming through your sniper lens so fast that you dont actuly look through it.. so double tap triangle or press r1 quickly and then shoot.. 98% of the time you will get a kill after practising it a little my 13 yr old bro kicks my ass so bad quick scoping

Thats why the 'snipers' dont like black ops cause you have to actually aim ather than glitch!

This game is basically What WAW should have been. Realistic stabbing on this one, gameplay is better than WAW yet not as good as MW2, killstreaks are far better done, IE you have to rack them up yourself rather than the killstreaks getting you the kills....

Black ops is a good game its basically cod 4 with a few ideas of there own and a few nicked off MW2, i think it'll be a bit of a marmite, i can see me playing it for a while then going back to MW2 and back to black ops and so on.

 

and its a error in the game anyone can do it with practice i take my hat off to people who can run round and wipe the floor with me not camp and use glitchs to get kills and streaks...

lol all I said is im not blown away by it, seeing as most people get a raging hard on as soon as you say "call of duty". The friends that convinced me to buy it where under the impression that treyarch were reinventing the wheel!

 

aint got it and wont bother as i play Battlefield Bad Company 2 on 360, way better than MW2 and includes vehicles as well, plus maps where you can snipe from over a km away...

kicks every COD game right in the bollocks! graphics are better to IMO

 

When it comes to sniping BFBC2 is always going to have the edge because of the scale of the maps. Also, when playing on hardcore mode there is no "killcam" to give away your possition every time you get a kill.
I remember the guilly suits working really well in that game, I was crouched in a hedge once picking off a few people and even had 2 enemy players walk into me, then turn and walk round me.

It is a different game though, you cant be a lone ranger in BFBC2 and its a much slower pace than COD.

 

for those of you that dont know there is a hidden game called dead ops, on the screen where you log to multiplayer etc look down and hit r2, l2 to brake through the straps walk around till you find a monitor hit square and type doa in and then keep hitting buttons to play, its funny as fuck, this works for the ps3 but dont know about the council console
