Classic ford a show of which I used to enjoy but not owning a ford which fits the current age restrictions I have missed the last 2

Again this year Kelsey have changed the rules on age limits acceptable for club stands (thats if you actually obey the rules as most dont and get away with it ) your car must be pre 1996 which is a 5 year jump on what it was last year, perhaps lower attendee numbers caused this who knows

any way show is held as ever at Santa Pod Raceway just a heads up for you all







Brand booking system in place for 2016 which should cut out any hastle for you guys as you now book your tickets direct with Classic ford rather than any club you may attend with, be aware kelsey have also added a £2 booking fee

 

That should please all the escos lot.

 

That's possibly the answer plus it means all cars on show will be 20 years old

 

Will also bring in mk1 mondeo ka puma scorpio owners etc etc making it a yawn again, seems like kelsey only care about their bank balance, not that the rsoc care as the regional stands always have new stuff on them anyway

my gut feeling is takings were down if honest and letting it pre 96 cars officially captures a wide variety of other fords as lee pointed out. its all about the £

dont stress yourself about what that club does let them crack on as its always noted

 

Croft RSOC is on that weekend as well Steve which will affect both Shows ?

 

all it does tbh sin is split rs owners from ford owners and pushes them further apart , worst case of of this will also be when the all new ford international show launched by kelsey starts in 2016 at sandown racecourse the exact same weekend as simply ford at beaulieu and they are not that far apart either and not only that it would have been same weekend as our passionfords ace cafe birthday party too but lucky I moved our birthday meet to may 21st or this would have been chaos, I'm taking pf to beaulieu and blanking this new kelsey show as they are bang out of order trying to steam roller all the ford scene into their bank accounts

 

You would expect someone to do their homework Steve especially when they clash with established Shows

Have you also seen that Japfest has moved to Silverstone

 

Thing is when I found out about this show I made them aware of what they were doing and the clash, and a few weeks later they were having a planning meeting and this was brought up, and the net result was they could not give 2 fucks about beaulieu , cant blame japfest tbh as it packs out the current venue big time and and the draw of silverstone will no doubt put a few more bums on seats but again who controls japfest , as jessie j would say its all about the money money money the new theme song of kelsey

Im not doing a stand for this show so unless a volunteer appears fill your boots mate and take a bmw as everyone else does

 

Did anyone see Bernie on the news this week, saying Silverstone have money problems

 

surely all tracks do, even noted shakespear is targeted for being redeveloped into housing

 

Any ideas why there's no where on the order form to put which club your with? Looks pretty much the same form as Ford fair and Ford fest except for not asking for a code or which club your with.

 

I just clicked on the booking form and it was there mate but Im not attending this show or having a stand as nobody has stepped up to take over this show for me

 

Anyone taking over the organisation for this one or are we sorting ourselves out?

 

not a single person offered to take the helm for this mate so looks like its a jump on another clubs stand job if possible

for last 2 years I have organised a club stand for this bryan but due to having a modern car I did not attend nor get any feedback from those that did , which is why I did not sort it for 2016 as I have many other shows to sort for this season and its one less to concern myself with

 

get yourselves to croft and hit the organisers where it hurts them

plenty of stand space will be made available

 

other end of country for me mate plus my model of car does not fit in

 

a visiting car club can bring wtf they like mate
