According to the Ford Fair website they are having the Plaques again this year.

They are priced at £3 each or 2 for £5.

As always they are limited stock and you have to get there real early to get one.

I realise this is quite an ask but is anyone from the PassionFord stand who is buying one for themselves willing to purchase one for me as I will be there later than usual this year.

I don't mind PayPal'ing the money over now to save you being out of pocket, or will just pay when I collect?

I would really appreciate it if anyone could help out? I missed out last year but have got the previous years and would be gutted to miss out again.

last year i had to get jamie to use his charm to get one for me but i've already told dan he's got to save me one so i'm sure that's top of his priority list

They only had 200 and they were sold out before I even got inside the gates

 

was crazy even I asked at 7.05 and was told they were all gone, should have made at least a 1000 if not more

 

The only let down of the day for me. Plaques shoupd have been included in payment and only available for stand passes. Why should members of the public be allowed to buy one? I'm sure every person that showed a car there today would have happily paid the couple of quid on top of stand pass costs to receive a plaque.

Knew nothing about this, but to be honest, it kind of annoys me that people showing their cars pay the same price as general public do, without people showing their cars there would be no show.

 

if pre booked karl tickets were cheaper at £18 as it was £23 on the gate to the public today, But I do get your point mate

 

Yeah, wasn't a dig or anything mate, I understand it's a huge show that probably costs a fortune to put on, just something that crossed my mind after my neighbour told me about the classic car shows he goes to ( Albeit a lot smaller than ford fair lol ) where it's either free entry for exhibitors or reduced rates compared to non exhibitors that's all.

i've made the piint that you should do what unxrbide do and if you want a palque included you have yout strip of paper to say "i've pid for a plafuqe so i'm here to collect her now" type thing going on

they said they would feed it back ot hte organisess and "whay you tried ebay?2

 

and yes top stand from what i saw at pf steve, i was on the rsmaina stand whihhad the same nice and fiendly flavour that i was used to at shows a few year ago



so while i'm a pasionfrdo stalwart at heart i hope you don't mine me jumping shiop every once in a while

dojj everyone if free to mix and match what shows they go too and with who as thats the beauty of pf no hastle

 

i know mate, i'm jsut sad that i couldn't be on two siddenet stands at the same time

i was wearing my pf tshit fhough for most of the day until i waws wearing the other one

it was my first mission of the day once i left the stand, sorry to say that i've failed

 

Apparently they only delivered half the number of plaques ordered (they were delivered 'on site', so by the time anyone realised it was too late!)

The rest of the order will arrive, and the plaques will go on sale on the Ford Fair website- So check on there, or join the Ford Fair FB page, as they'll be putting announcements up!

 

does seem odd the logic of making such a small batch as we all know they will sell 10x thats amount

I get that mate but why still such a low number as surely if you had 2000 of them you would sell all 2000 as that was the main moan I heard all day which shows the rest of the show was spot on

I'm not sure where this figure of '200' came from? A lot more than that were ordered!

no doubt dojj rumour was 200 came instead of the 500 ordered but if that is the correct figure then my point was it should still have been more as I asked at 7.05 and was told they had none

 

Several official peeps at the official tent stated those figures, 500 were due to be delivered, 200 turned up

Now, it "could" be the case that all 3 sites were supposed to get 500 and only 200 turned up for the info stand, but then why did the internet and the show forms state that they were only available from the fast and classic ford stands?

 

Because it's a huge show with relatively few people organising it - and sometimes things go wrong. 300 more will go on sale on the Ford Fair website as soon as they receive them from the supplier.
