Steve alot of the grumbles about Central Show are mostly out of their hands but what is in the control of others is visiting car clubs. It's coming to a time when these Clubs are the future of most shows, due to rules and circumstances elsewhere visiting clubs numbers are swelling.

Also your thread is a perfect way of finding out people's feelings but look who has contributed, your usual PF posters/contributors. If you put a similar thread on the RSOC the exact same thing would happen, usual posters/contributors would reply.

Nice to see volunteers wishing to help though Steve

thats it in a nutshell sinbad, this is purely a fact finding exercise and if the RSCS show organisers step their game up and improve the show there there will be no issue over attending, this whole thread was based on the factual last 3 years experience which showed a big decline

classic for me next year as central been crap last two years ,last year they took my corona off me at gate no glass bottles ,everyone had them lol ,plus the bar was shut on the night

only went to the rs one, so cant compare, my vote is not fussed as would want to go to both, but depends on dates and work for me.

Bil has offered to sort a stand out for those wanting to attend Central show for 2014 phil but for me the vote numbers speak volumes and the fact I have attended both shows for last 5 years in a row and the only show people moan at me about is central show so I will doing classic ford

Just a update on this as I will only be organising classic ford and Bil will be handling Central show which date is confirmed now as Sunday 27th April which is the week before Passionford's Night at the Ace Cafe London May 3rd and Classic ford is confirmed as June 1st and details are in the official show section

Classic ford should be for classic's, end of.

Classic ford was loads bigger last year but a lot of it was chav'd up mk4 fiesta's, mondeo's and focus rs's which are far from classic's.

I stopped going to ford fair because those cars were all that was there (which is fine, just isn't my thing) and that's where they should stay, or central day. There's nothing wrong with everybody going to these shows but showing there new cars at classic shows is just wrong.

Its a valid moral stance you take but classic ford operates as a business and unlikely to refuse entry to clubs which have a mixed database of fords in its directory as is the case with ford fair, failing to simply attend means your the one missing out as future publishing want bums on seats so to speak and judging by rising numbers your absense has no effect
