Not long now
Do we have a timeframe in mind for meeting up in Dundee? eh.
Suppose we had better get something sorted for us up here in Aberdeen aswell like ken.
No point in me heading into the town if we are going to be passing the door on the way south again so probably better if we meet somewhere like Asda Portlethen or the square down in Stonehaven. Failing that i could sit on the flyover and just tag on as you pass by.
Asda or Stoney = breakfast or rowies
Flyover = none
Suppose it all depends really on what time we need to meet the troops in Tayside.
Any thoughts?
Rog,
You going to make it?

Still not sure, have a couple of things to sort out, if i do i very much doubt it'll be in a cossie, cars just one headache after another, came out last night to find a fookin' screw it my trye and it's totally flat, just another problem to add to the list.
Think I'm just going to put it back in the lockup again and forget about it for the forseeable future.

What times are we looking at finishing?
We've just orgainised a beer fest in the marquee at night, so just need to prepare, ya know.
No signs of my 3dr leaving my hoose for this year now, so I'll be passenger on this occasion.

Stu,
Do you know roughly how long you will be at camperdown before you set off, I'm going to join in blairgowrie , I'll pm my number anyway, just need my coolent temp sensor and changing my front prop as the bearings have a wee bit of play, still no sign of my parts though
Whats happening after braemar is it proceeding to aberdeen or will it just be the aberdeen boys? Either way i'm going onwards to have a run about aberdeen with the car.

Cheers toughy Which car are you bringing, escos I hope?
Lee - Thanks, I've got one ordered from ford so hopefully will get it very soon The car still runs fine just the revs drop when I have my foot off the throttle and the clutch down, so That wont stop the run for me, just the propshaft. Is your sensor for an St incase ford can get one? Cheers!
What cars are everybody bringing, what about the old skool cars, many of those?

Took it out for a blast, it seems very slightly better but it's still vibrating like hell. My mate (who's a mech.) seemed to think it's actually a problem with the whole car vibrating rather than just the steering, but i've NO idea what to do next.

Rog going back a few years i had a problem with my silver saff.
Turned out that id smacked the rear section of the rear prop on a stone and knocked it very slightly out of balance.
It had actually moved the spicer slightly out of line.
Could be something like that?
Also when you re fitted it after the engine build did it go back onto the diff as it was? i.e. did you mark both flanges with paint or the likes so that it went back on in the same orientation?

My mate suggested it might be the rear prop last night actually, like maybe I'd damaged it aswell.
i never did that with paint like you mentioned, but the vibration issue was there befoere i took it apart, so i don't think it's anything i've done when i've been working on it, i'd say it's definately wear/damage just by driving it.
It started when i snapped a shaft it crail doing doughnuts with it, got a shaft fitted down there and when i got to the Muchalls bend on the way home thats when i first noticed it vibrating. But that shafts been replaced about 3 times since then, including the CV part of it.

Really gutted I'm not gonna get out to this because of my HG issue.
Ah well there is always next year eh.
Only had one day out in it this year, and even that didnt really go to plan.
Even thought of selling the Mongdeo to get the 3 door out!
Chop, did you get your clutch fitted in the FRS alrite?
Hope the weather improves for you guys.
Cheers

45min - 1hr from my place to Dundee so i will be loaded up (with rowies and a tank of fuel) and ready to go anytime from around 9ish or thereafter.
If i am the only one this side of Aberdoom then probably best if i just wait in a layby or on the flyover for you guys unless you want to pop in past the house?
either way is easy peasy for me.
