OK, so it's not a full feature unfortunately, but 3 pictures of it in this months Performance Ford mag, is part of a dream come true. I grew up reading car mags day in, day out and always hoped 1 day I would see a car that I built on the pages of a mag.
It was a club shoot not just my car, but was a great write up for the Dorset RS owners club though.
Just need to keep working towards a proper feature now.

Yeah feeling quite good about it. A certain sense of pride too being as I built it myself, outside in the cold. Build thread is on here somewhere but I'm crap with taking pics so not the best thread.
And yes from Bournemouth, so have probably seen you around Rikki. Where do you meet up?

Sadly I can't say mine is as much an achievement as yr Range. By comparison a simple rebuild, but the feeling is the same I guess. To say "I built that", and know every nut and bolt inside out gave me a proud feeling when I saw it in the mag yesterday.
I know some of you are mag feature regulars, and potentially this may seem a petty thread to some, but for the others out there that are building their motors over the winter and fighting the elements while doing so (the Mrs included lol!), it's worth it in the end.
Just one of those things that as a school boy growing up reading the mags, you imagine yr own creation there one day.

I am Benni. Was quite chuffed that the pic showed the custom bonnet vents I have too. I had louvres cut and pressed into a 2wd bonnet rather than the std mod of a 4x4 bonnet. It's the small things I guess.

Don't you need you RS running to do that Jamie?
It is nice when you get in a magazine, I was fortunate enough to have my old Sierra in Performance ford 3 times as parts of other features

Nice one mate I always get excited when I see the fastford ad for central day as for the last few years they have used the pic of mine and my mates 2 white saffs on white comps launching at the pod

You put yr car down too much mate, it's actually a good solid car and only needs a bit of touching up. Brings a touch of the different to the club too. Can't wait for the show season to start again, especially as I have my new rims to go on.
