I haven't really updated this thread in ages so while i remember i'll try and get it up to date.
Bought a cheap set of tyres to get the car through the mot and to run the engine in with, £84 the pair posted, bargin ! (will get a full new set next year before its set up)
Also had a panel made up to cover where the sunroof was :
As i'm running 5mm spaces on the front at the moment i decided that for piece of mind i needed some longer wheel studs fitted so got a set an extra 25mm longer from rally designs:
So from this
to this, much better
I've also had the bars for the passenger seat and the inner harness eye bolts fitted, so the car has two seats again for the first time in ages
And notcied when the car was stripped that the rear shelf was cracked, as per usual on a saff, so had a couple of very tidy plates welded in to to stiffen this section
And all painted back in :
I also spent ages sorting stuff out to get it MOT'd which took a long time with few visable results, but all needed to be done, so as a result the car is now all MOT'd and ready to be run in essentially, yipeee

Well haven't updated this for a while as theres not really been anything to update really, just waiting on me to pull my finger out.
As some are aware, i've now done so and its on the road, not much more to add other than that really, apart from a couple of pics to prove it.
A pic from last weeks hampshire rsoc meet at West Meon, after having to stop 5 times on the way there and put the throttle cable back on !, due to me not having the clip that holds the ball on the socket, doh ! !
And a few of it looking happy to be outside at last alongside my escort:
It does need a good scrub and clean up, but i've plenty of time to do that
Plan now is to run the engine in between now and december, doing a few miles here and there, ironing out any problems along the way, then take it back out ready for a few more final mods, new clutch, arp rod bolts, oil cooler system, few areoquip breather fittings, new fuel system and proper heat shielding, new exhaust & more tyres, before hopefully getting set up around feb / march and then maybe its maiden trackday around aprilish ?, fingers crossed !

Got any close pictures of your boot, especially how you mounted it coz I need ideas for mine (got the carbon/kevlar version from Xsport Racing), but would prefer to keep a sort of standard mounting.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, all appreciated !
Hi Matt, sorry i've not replied sooner, i've not been on passionford for a while, i'll try to get some pics for you next time i get the car out. I've got just the single skin bootlid (also from X-sport), so have just used a couple of bonnet pins at the top and the spring style retainers at the bottom, it needs a bit of fine adjustment for it to be sitting properly, but overal its not a bad fit

This is what I should do on mine to fit the racing seats I have, but then no way to get back to normal seats again apart from remove the welding, but what a pain
I think I will have to use the std seat mounts, which is pure shit.
