My mate Kev jumped in the Beemer to bring the trailer out and was greeted to that hairy beast of a woman
He is still shaking with fear now
I wasnt sure who had put it there Gareth mentioned on Facebook he was partly to blame
Sorry didnt get a chance to meet mate, was a pretty mental weekend.
Im sure we will get a chance at the next Ford event or a zetec day somewhere.

I didnt launch hard enough or rev high enough to get anywhere near the 11's. Shifting at 6500rpm not mapped higher yet.

In the rush to get it built we left it off along with the rest of the front end.
Will be going back on tomorrow then sort the rear brakes out as the rear master is still locked up
Look forward to catching up with everyone properly at Classic as plan to come up for the whole weekend.

Not updated much really as I have not used the car since Central Day.
This weekend though saw the car having some work done and MOT'd.
The rear brakes binding was down to a dodgy master cylinder which was not holding pressure and not returning. I also think the clutch pedal is doing the same so a new one of these is being ordered first thing tomorrow.
Taxed and Mot'd now so time to rack some miles up and get used to it.
Took Heather out in it today for a little drive and pretty happy with it to be honest, pedal box needs a bit of fettling though as the pedal angles are shit.
Will be sorting this out in the week/weekend hopefully.
Also Clive sorted out the fuel tray/filler I wanted.
With having the glass back in the car the filler that was window mounted in the perspex before was redundant. I had a small piece of fuel hose and the aerofiller just wobbling around in the car off the tank.
Now I have a rather trick filler with screw cap.
We go from drawing here...
To final piece fitted here...

Love the car, superb attention to detail but as much as the filler splash bowl is a nice design I just don't like having them in the car as it always seems to stink the car out with fuel and you will at some point drip fuel everywhere.
Its quite a minor niggle in my eyes though on such a well prepared motor ! have fun on the road with it

Its not too bad actually mate, it helps the Fiesta boot is small.
However I agree its not the best for the us oldies
Much better than the elephant knob that was floating around before hand
Me too mate, it certainly is a handful now so with a bit of practice it should hopefully.
Passanger seat is all yours mate
Indeed it certainly needs to be enjoyed/used now.
Interior still needs a few little bits to sort it finally but its almost there
Power will be upped and 2 maps set up in the 3-4weeks. Just going to get to grips with it all for now.

The smells an like are all part of the track experience, but agreed it is better if the inside is kept free of any strong smells such as fuel and oil etc.
Thanks for the comments though just need to get the thing doing some times now

Its a issue with stuff like that being in the car, I've not personally owned a car with a tank in the car although my Escort will run one in the boot with a splash bowl like your own so I can only hope as its firewalled that the smell won't reach the cockpit as it does eventually give you a headache !
Each to their own though, I'm not saying I wouldn't get in a car that stinks of fuel, its just something if I could I'd do my best to sort out !
