TANK..........

happened exactly the same way in my mates S1 @ croft a couple of years ago, changed the metering unit at the show......still nothing, home on a low loader!

someone suggested it was a problem with the tank, and after changing the tank problem was sorted!

a tank's not too expensive either.

No sooner had i arrived ,he was under the bonnet checking everything.11 minutes later and she was purring like a kitten.FUEL METERING ADJUSTMENT PROBLEM And a new set of SPARK PLUGS.He then got it on the ROLLING ROAD to set the FUEL&CO so it was running purfect and starting everytime.Even had me making the coffee for him and the boys.

And how much do you think this TOP TUNER charged me for THE NEW PLUGS,SET UP ON THE ROLLING ROAD AND A COUPLE OF HOURS FOR HIS VALUBLE TIME AND SKILLS??????

Ł0,that,s right nothing.....What a top bloke,to do this for someone he doesn,t even know ,to me speaks volumes about the type of guy JAMIE is.

Will know be VALETED & M.O.T,D before NATIONAL DAY.Fingers crossed.

Won,t have to anyway.

Had the M.O.T today

It FAILED

Only on silly things

1.N/S/F INDICATOR BULB NOT WORKING.

2.O/S/R BRAKE CALIPER BINDING

3.EMISSIONS.

Can,t beleive it FAILED on EMISSIONS.Was only set up at JAMSPORT last saturday. Am pissed off ,but won,t take much to get it sorted.
Will now be driving the FOCUS 1.8 GHIA on sunday

Just out of interest, why should i not be leaving my car in the car park?Have seen plenty of nice RS,s in the carpark in previous years.Seems safe enough to me.

Tried to sort out the BINDING rear brakes.

1.wind in pistons

2.clean calipers.

3.adjust handbrake.

Still binding,so bought a pair of new calipers, but now my car won,t start AGAIN!!!!!!

Am getting really PISSED OFF with this car now.No matter how much TIME,EFFORT AND MONEY i spend on this car, there,s always something that,s going wrong.Am seriously thinking of cutting my losses and BREAKING IT.I know most people go through this emotion with there RS at some time, but iv,e owned this car for 7 YEARS and in that time iv,e NEVER EVER thought about throwing in the towel even when i had to change the

1.ENGINE

2.GEARBOX

3.BRAKES.

4.SUSPENSION

5.DOORS.

6.BONNET & TAILGATE.

7.FULL BARE METAL RESPRAY

8.UNDER BODY RESTO

9.INTERCOOLER&SAMCOS.

10.STAGE 3 TURBO

But still i didnt mind spending all the money ,because i had a car i was proud of UNTIL NOW. Will do some serious THINKING over the next few days.
