cheers pete,yes mate black country does do it proper using avo coilovers and will be a road car,but will have a few track days this summer .THANX to everyone for the replies

managed to have another couple of hours todayand fitted the trailing arms,prop anti-roll bar and towed it home so i can work on the engine. will fit the drive shafts and petrol tank tomorrow and get some more pics up.iveadded some more pics of todays work

fitted my fuel tank today,ill take it off tomorrow as i only sprayed the bottom half,thinking the top wouldn't be seen.put some exhast mounts on ready for when i bufty my exhaust up.i also put part of the brake line set up on the car.added a few pics.

my plans when ive finished this mate are to get a bit more power over the summer and ill do a lot more to the front arches and engine bay next winter,just want to drive it now ,as i said at the start of this,i just want it clean for my own peace of mind,dont want to go bufty.

small update
over the last few days i've been fitting my driveshafts,rear brakes,fuelpump cradle&exhaust,i also painted the top of the fuel tank.haven't done much else mainly due to the rain this week.i've posted a few pics up of my progress

things to do list includes;rocker gasket,front to back brake pipe,braided fuel lines and then just service stuff(plugs,leads,rotor,dizzy cap,oil&filter)
hopefully ill be finished by the end of the month

hi mate,nice to see my old car getting a refresh just one question? the mounting point for the off side rear trailing arm looks like it is split.that will need welding before you use it?

yes its a crack after looking through the photos you can see the crack from the opposite angle aswell.

Oh yey of little faith! yes it does need welding,my man is coming to do it next week along with some brackets for my intercooler ,not to bad as i was driving for 4000miles like it plus what ever else its done. looks like it has been cut by some muppet at some stage

small update as i've managed to squeeze the intercooler into place and ive put the exhaust back on after buftying it up,got the welder coming tomorrow to do the beam mount,no need for welded brackets for the cooler as i used coach bolts.also took the carpet out as im fitting a black one to match the leather.

What exhaust is that mate? I love saffs where the exit comes out at an upwards angle looks sweet! Like the intercooler but think your gonna have major problems with the D/V position behind the splitter, it'll get loads of road crap thrown at it I can't imagine rain water will do it any good when it's spraying up. The pipe from the I/C to the comp housing, does that run down round the alternator behind the bumper? Get rid of that Damp sound deadening aswell!

will be removing the D/V(need blanking plug)
