Do I spy a recirculating dump valve being used without the recirculating hose? Bet that would've surprised Tim Harvey! Great pics, what relics :top:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...0Pics20016.jpg

martinrs500labatts 15-09-2005 10:39 AM

i have seen pictures of ian gardens car,

he did the old version of whot i do now which is the ford saloons,

i considered buying it to build another car for racing,

as it was basicly a shell,

but in the end decided it needed to much work and the only parts left that where group A was the rear beam, as the owner was going to rally the car so sold all the good bits off.

Gra 15-09-2005 11:46 AM

wow,
do youhave a fav? i really like them all but the texaco one is my fav,

RichardPON 15-09-2005 01:09 PM

Honestly, a truly remarkable collection of cars.

Was one of the highlights of any National Day for me, and I think you should be applauded for your efforts in organising such a special display.

WutangRS 15-09-2005 01:24 PM

a savage collection there
what are the oil cooler for under the car, gearbox, engine or diff?

el waffle 15-09-2005 05:22 PM

wow you got that anz one for quite a bargain didnt you martin. top top cars i loved the old moonstone one. but 3 rs500 touring cars owned by one person takes the piss i love your cars martin. :top: :top: :top: :top: :top: :top: :top: :top:

martinrs500labatts 15-09-2005 10:30 PM

on the rouse built cars there are four coolers under the cars two for engine oil, one for the diff with an electric pump and one for the gearbox,

on the eggenburger car there are two colers under the car, one for the diff again on an electric pump and then the gearbox cooler,

it when used two oil coolers one each side behind the front grilles next to the indicators.

Nick500 17-09-2005 09:51 PM

I am still just a little envious mate!! nice pics I am a bit sick that I was offshore for national day as well, would have been really awsome seeing the cars round the track!! trust me to miss that!!

If I ever needed the single nut hubs are there any places that they are still available?

:top:

martinrs500labatts 18-09-2005 10:22 AM

single hub ect

are not available unless you can get them made,

the bbs wheel nuts are available at a price form bbs in germany to order.

i have a spare complete clutch and prop ect for the getrag box,

not something i want to sell but you can allways get the ap numbers off mine and order it.

callum 18-09-2005 01:34 PM

i know the standard prop is diffrent but can the female splined end not be taken off and replaced with another flat plate end like then one that goes on the diff

yes the part number for a clutch would be great do ap still supply them as a complete kit cheers

Great day mate really enjoyed it and i met Tim Harvey myself the other day at Oulton Park, A real gent even had time to talk to me :top:

Regards Paul

martinrs500labatts 25-09-2005 12:06 PM

the cars i own are,

the labatts car
eggenburgr car
ANZ car

so three in total,

with so many cars i have amassed qiute a few spares for them aswell,

the clutch pictured lloks fine and will fit the getrag box,

i use the same one but mine has six paddle pits instead of four but that will still work fine.

i do have a new four paddle one like the pictured that i was give, and a spare complete clutch but thats another storie.
