VERY HARD TO PUT VALUES ON THESE CARS

but i can give you an idea.

eggenburger car for sale in swizerland still owned by eggenburger them selfs, chassie number 99268 winner of the spar 24hr in 89, and ex texaco car, thye are selling this car for £103,000 pounds!! without spares!!

my eggenburger car is chassie 99269 and an ex texaco car sister car to the above, so in a real world must be worth 50k plus p.s cheapest eggenburger car i have ever seen for sale was 60k, in five years i have only sean three eggenburger cars for sale,

still considering selling this car in the near future as i dont have anough room for another and have a new project in mind,

labatts car,

last one left and all that, bla bla bla still only worth whot someone will pay, but must be valued at 45k plus, but i thing i will be burried in this car.

ANZ car well whot can i say it was a very good find and very rare find,

with the alan moffat and andy rouse history and the alain fertay makes it a bit of a gem,

interesting car that led the 1987 bathurst 1000 race and was the first sierra rs500 alan moffat drove, i value it at 30k plus,
if i gave it a new coat of paint and cleaned it up a bit and changed it back to rhd, it would be like 40k plus

moffat liked it so much the next year he bought his own sierra to race,

even if you pull out of a shed an ex touring car with no history built out of cast off parts, it would have a good value as if you break the parts down it would break for 20k.

so if you are offered a real touring car for less than 20k then snap it up.

then add money for history and you will have a price from say 20k to 50k for your average car,

is that close enough for you.

martinrs500labatts 26-09-2005 08:53 PM

the value of these cars add up with the 9" diff and getrag gearbox and groupA suspention and brakes and then the 500 spoilers and engine, bbs wheels and centre lock hubs,

soon adds up,

there is some vidoes of these cars racing on the rs owners club site go to there home page and click on the video section,

you can also allways buy the 88/89/90 old touring car videos on e/bay for resonable money,

Dan 27-10-2005 10:34 PM

Cool, thats good news then mate thanks! :D

Would someone like Dukes Video's sell them aswell?

lol and another question, whats this Birmingham street race, sounds awesome, really wanna see it now! lol

Dan 28-10-2005 01:08 PM

I take it your cars were involved with this were they? :DD:

CliffRS4 28-10-2005 03:01 PM

You really need to see the video.
I'm sure it's called "street racing in Birmingham"??

It has Murray Walker commentating.
Think I too got it from the RS Owners website.

Dan 28-10-2005 05:52 PM

Cheers Cliff, will have a good root around for it when I got abit more time tomoz! :top:

Any chance you could send it to me? ;) :DD:

Lee @ Fusion 28-10-2005 06:46 PM

Damo V 28-10-2005 07:01 PM

Lovely lovely cars...

I have fond memories as a kid of the birmingham street races... funny one thing I always remember on the incar footage from these cars was Murray walker in his usual excitable manner shouting something about "watch the white needle on the guage in the centre of the car... how quickly it moves up and down" lol

obviously the boost guage I can see it now still like 15 years on clear as a bell....he may have been talking about THIS very one!!!

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...icture_006.jpg

Unbelievable well done Martin And as has been said well done to you for sorting the few las at Nat day

I'd love to mate but I'm in Belize 5000 miles away

paul_h 28-10-2005 08:43 PM

i have this video it's great the power of these cars was great.i wouldn't dare throw a rear wheel drive car around like them guys did.and they hardly budge

martinrs500labatts 28-10-2005 09:35 PM

he was!

my labatts car is the same one harvey used for both 89 and 90 seasons and in 90 tim had only 1 bar of boost and was pointing to the gauge for the camera, with murry walker taking about it,

the birmingham races can be seen on the 89 and 90 btcc touring car vidoes.

BigPeBe 30-10-2005 01:21 AM

Wow, nice RS500s there! :D

Pics like this really improve me to get my Sierra project rolling, it's maybe far from this type, but still I now want to get my hands dirty with the old good OHC. ;)

:top: :top:

Daviet 30-10-2005 02:22 AM

martinrs500labatts 30-10-2005 11:41 AM

the sierra started raceing as three doors in 86 and then 500 spec in 87

that video like a few of them has the wrong car on the front cover and does say in the spec that the car on the front is not in there!!

the 90/91/92 au videos are good and all of the bathurst ones are worth getting from 87/88/89/90 as well

Daviet 30-10-2005 01:10 PM

cheers martin :top: saves my mate buying that 84 one as he was in doubt :top:
