I like the way it looks so factory, so flocking it or carbon or even painting it anything other that a matt black finish will steer away from that "factory" look as mentioned
Looks great man!
*edit
Coley got there before

Got the focus RS rev counter to work today , with the aid of a WRC crank sensor bracket , and a standard cosworth crank sensor.
The bracket
Bit of a squeeze ;o)
Rev counter works a treat ;o)

The RS clocks are actually low mileage ones , its their 2.0l zetec internals that arent so low !!!
The reason why i put the 2.0l zetec internals in the RS clocks is so that i can loose the RS's boost gauge and gain an engine temp gauge ;o)
check out my temp gauge )

Thats cool with the temp gauge, but get in touch with Geoff @ Chorley Garage, as he had RS gauges made in pink for Kerry's car. He could probably give you the number for whoever made the clocks and you can get RS style temp cover to put over that boost gauge face

More work on the clocks , the final piece which i found a bit of a struggle with getting the correct sonsor to work with the focus thatll be compatable with the cosworth engine , only to find out the standard focus water temp gauge is simple an "idiot needle" (itll read half way at all times regardless of temperature change - unless theres a drama , in which time its too late lol)
Anyway , the focus gauge was removed and replaced with an identical oe ford but analogue gauge (one thatll actually move with temperature change) .
The 2 clocks ready to be modded
Fords were even kind enough to lable the wiring for us lol ( - + and sender )
Doner analogue temp sensor removed and re positined the slightly different angled mounts from the doner gauges to the focus rs clocks ( no needle cheating here )
Not the change in angle
Spot the difference - digital focus and analogue gauges ;o)
Trial fit
All up and working - bench tested in the kitchen , using a standard cosworth gauge sensor in a mug of very very hot water.

well done!! yeah rev counter does look swappable!!
Would the difference in sweep angle be a problem though???
might be able to play with a old focus one to see if direct analogue rev counter feeds works and gives the correct dial reading.
A guy on the puma site managed to get some mondeo dials working in analogue mode (mondeo dials are digitally controlled like focus ones).

unfortunately he keeps forgetting to take photos or write a guide of how he did it.

So with the dash gauges all complete , the ultimate test was to test the temp gauge in the car , so with the focus running up to temperature i took this picture just as the radiator fans kicked in. well happy with the result.
Also picked this up , not sure what im gonna do with it , keep it, fit it, bin it or swap it. ideally i should fit a 2wd heat sheild.
People are now asking whats left to do , so i tell them its all the tiny bits and pieces of detail that take up so much time , so heres another one of them. This focus give me the horn lol
Thats it for today , but i ordered some more bits today from Motorsport developments and SFS hoses , so hopefully another update over the weekend.
