yeah they are coming.... Got a few things being welded up atm including the column but i should have it finshed by tomorrow night with pictures.
Im keen to find out if i can run standard focus( ST or RS ) clocks with a YB - would make life so much easier if you can!? fingers crossed!

So to make the dash work you need to fool the original ECU enough so it will send tacho feed and speedo feed to the dash. (most late ford ECU's will not function without certain key sensor inputs including PATS immobilisor chip).
Warren off here is in the progress of trying to fit a focus ST170 dash to his car and it looks like he'll need to fit a 36-1 trigger wheel to the crank pulley so he can run a ford crank sensor just to run the EECV ecu to power the dash.
Speedo sensor and other sensors are easy enough.
Warren has not got his working as yet but in time he will no doubt!
The other option is commissioning one of the taxi/truck tacho companies to make a convertor. There are plenty of off the shelf convertors that will take information off a modern ECU and convert it to run on an old dash, so it shouldnt be too hard for them to make it work the other way. Dont know how much it would cost though ?
The far simplest option for is to fit dash clocks from an earlier ford, be it a cossie or any other similar age ford.
BTW ive finishedt he column mods but ive missplaced the camera!! took loads on my phone so ill try and up load them from there ;o)

Small update today - i continued to modify the sapphire cosworth mongoose exhaust rear section to fit the focus ........ and i finally sorted out the problem relating to the focus steering column and trying to get in to fit around cosworth pedal box WITHOUT lowering the whole column mounts . heres the progress anyway.
EXHAUST
cut and rotated then re welded.
Just need to carefully shorten and re fit the tail pipe. )
STEERING COLUMN
The column now gives me a nice solid angle that clears the cosworth pedal box without having to sacrifice the height of the column ! (which always helps cos im a long fooker ;o) )

Re Fitted the altered column this afternoon and im well pleased with the outcome ;o)
Its really solid, and very smooth on rotation , might better than the factory one lol
Also re fitted the altered rear box, and made a focus exhaust rubber hanger fit a sierra chassis rail (took what seemed like forever to make a 15mm square hole ( ) but the result was worth it ! just need to alter the angle of the tail pipe and carefully weld it back on. ;o)
Nearly there......... next stop Pro Alloy! ;o)

Have they got spacers on?? i look at mine:
And it almost looks as if they have been space out, welded on then painted over or is it just a wierd way the rear discs are???
Heres focus dash diagrams:
Block diagrams
1998 - 2001
2002 - 2004
Focus RS dash
Hope this helps!!
Tracking it back you will see that pin 15 and 16 at the ECU which feed the dash are SCP + and - (standard corporate protocol) and are basically a databus that can send a variety of information do the dash as well as the ABS ECU and diagnostics port.
The idea of fitting a zetec crank sensor is basically to fool the original ford EECV ecu into thinking its got an engine and hence operating in a LOS (limited operating strategy) rather than just locking out totally and refusing to work. That way it will send a speed signal (from the speed sensor you will fit where speedo cable goes) and a RPM feed from the zetec crank sensor.

anyone know what it takes to power up the cossie engine loom?
any one got any scematics of the conversion?
im a long way away from that yet but its something i could startdoing by splicing the two looms together (focus car / cossie engine)
any help would be appriciated
Bloody nice looking car

the cosworth fan loom can be powered and run independently too.
so can the cosworth fuel pump and abs loom .
im pretty sure thats right lol.
