bad day, rough day, as I think the lights fading out, all went wrong, wanted to install the centre gaugepod, messed up, nothing fitted. When I first was in a roomy space, now I'm just placed in a dark, cold, large gathering space where all life seems to be non existing
HATE IT
even tho they proposed to move back, when the bus has been finished, I refuse it

hello after a small dip at the end of last week, we're back in full force, and I think I'm in the last straight line!!!!
As planned I took a day off at work, wanting to instaal the interior, seat belts, installing new antenna cable, fixing the wires to the roof mounted clock, did some fishing on that one, hahaha.
Must say seats from an rs turbo, half leather ones, DO SIT very nice and comfy, even if it's the rear seats.
But what a relief in seing some seats innit
roof panel was/is a nightmare to fix as it seems all wobbly and don't want to flat, hence the tape, stratching it a bit
In the evenings was busy in fixng the centre pod holder, fucked it up only to discover that you should fix a ring that pulls the complete replacemnt part to the dash BUT I liked MY solution far better
If anyone interested, lmight make some like that IF you provide me the pod holder, the one that replaces the vents, just pm me
complete dash
pods, one missing, volt comming from the states, bit cheaper
cheers, oh and rubbing and sanding is up for the next 1.5 week, so exterior paint lurks around the corner, adn will eat another whole in my pocket
hey a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, right
paint the car
cheers for now

I knoo, haven't finished yet!!! just taped it all, hoping, to give it some shape it would ave haved, as it was folded for over a year.
Reason why I wait is I first have to have the car painted, so I can finally put all panels in place, a bit a glue here and a bitta glue there, and it should be stretched and fitted never to get loose again

it is hard to leave it be for a while, but.....
naywayz, am doing the gearbox, with the mates at work, while I finish of the front and rear bumpers, door, rear boot lid, and at the end of next week a quite special hood, if all parts arrive on schedule. While next week saterday will be sanding the car down to start painting it, so need to get all the upper mentioned ready to be painted at the same time.
Gearbox will be left open till I have enough for all parts to make it fresh again, was thinking of a quaife LSD, so if anyone outthere has got a GOOD one for sale, pm accepted
cheers guys

hi m8, second, man I swore I'll never ever do this kindda resto ever again.
have to say I had some luck as I did a major deal on the complete new roof, scrap yard for, +/- Ł7, yep seven , the left rear q panel was a bit dearer +/- Ł80, the roof lining came with the roof I cut off.
In all, nowing that I bought the car for 625, but am now over budget with 10x the amount of purchase. Reason is that one of me m8's couldn't continue, so had to have all the welding done by our bodyworkshop, which is in terms TOP quality
Painting is within a couple of weeks, from then on, it should go quite quick, except the engine and gearbox, but that's another story
cheers evr'yone

ahum
guys and, some dolls,
small update, working on the hood as of now, should be done by the end of the week, all together with both doors, boot, hope it'll all be primed, so evr'ything can be pianted in one time
Argh yes I know, I can hear some of you think "blimey what a geek using a scooby scoop" hey it's my car and I have a vision for it, and that one comes nearer evry day, and for those who don't like it, more scooby parts will be added to the hood, just wait and see.
i had to add some metal, so I could advance the scoop a bit further,
cheers, will start on reassembling the gearbox tonight or tomorra evening, depending on work's work
cheerioooo

since, the baby is doing fine, and me and the missus life is coming all together again... I decided to do some major changes on my rs, so on 12th februari we're going to jump onto her, two will rebuilt the gearbox and engine(perhaps even mount it), and two will prep the body and all parts that need to be painted, yes all of them finally got primed so she should she colour within the week or so............... depends on the work in our body shop
anywayz do keep checking this space for major piccies!!! will take some during work on the car
cheers fellow nutters
