Default Project wedding car

So after nearly 11 years of missing out on my restoration project I've decided now is the time to get my finger out and complete it

Arrived today from the local motor factor was the brake discs for both front and back

I have also bought new sliders for the rear calipers and new carrier bearing (awaiting arrival hopefully this week)

So this is all the work I've done today to my car

So after a hard day's work at getting brake lines and that made up for the front of the car I decided to fit the new steering rack and insert the new drive shaft and put the front calipers on

Next step this week is to order a new fuel tank fuel lines and the Flexi pipes for the front calipers

Also in the not too distant future the radiator will be ordered and ready to go to the mechanic to get started

Cheers mate it's been a long drawn out project that I started about 11 years ago and never got it finished

Now I've started where I did 11 years ago the wheel is turning a lot quicker now and hopefully I have a deadline set in my head as Christmas this year to finally get it done

Just a few throw back pics on the start of the restoration 11 years ago

I would get some stone gard on that mate . It will help all round it will help to hide some of the imperfections / lumps and bumps / welds and so on and then paint it .

Thats the plan lad the plan is 2 stoneguard the floor when I get the spray gun 2 put it on with

Want to leave it as close to original as I possibly can but the thing holding me back at the moment is getting someone to do the welding that's required for me before I get the car back on her feet 2 start the build again

So this week has been a productive week for the car

Got the body seal put onto it and now it's been painted red underneath to bring it back to factory standard (or as close as to it)

Next step getting it back onto the ground again to start building the rest of the car up
