Just found this on my other phone. This is the van how i brought it earlier this year. The reg is E22 PBD anyone recognise it.

I found this on google images when i typed the reg in. Its actually an estate that someone has plated up the rear windows. They have done a good job of it aswell.

Have you used the sand blaster? Would you recommend one as I'm thinking of buying one?

Looking forward to the build

I have used it briefly but the grit I had was too Corse to fit out the nozzle so kept blocking. Did a good job with what came out though. I would recommend them with a superfine grit.
Can't go wrong for Ł50 on eBay.

Hi Glenn, I am planning to cut most of the bm frame out where the sub frame etc are so I have the mounts to keep the running gear bm and then graft it into the escort. I will probably have to make up my own chassis rails so that it all glues together nicely and that it's roadworthy. Here is my donor car. I wouldn't of liked to be in it when it hit the post.

Spent another couple of hours on the donor today managed to get the engine and box out, steering rack and both front hub & spring assembly.

If I get time tomorrow I may get the grinder out and start cutting

I went for 6cyl petrol in the end as they are naturally aspirated where the diesel being turbo it's just more to go wrong.

However I have been thinking supercharge the petrol

Snuck away from work early to do a bit more cutting everything I need is out now.
Laid the bits out roughly next to escort and it looks promising, should just have to get propshaft shortened by about 150mm or so😀😀

Ive got the bug big time again doing this project.
I used to chop cars about quite a bit when I was a kid. It's criminal really what I did to some of the now classic fords I had.
Hopefully will do a bit more Monday before work 😬

So I haven't done a lot on the build for a few days due to work getting in the way of play.

Anyone want any ally fabricated in the southeast give me a shout.

I have managed to do another hour this afternoon, got the bm front under the escort time to start trimming away the fat. Forgot to get a pic of that. Juts a couple of escort in the air for now

I ended up cutting the front right off the escort and wheeled in the bm front end in. If I used the esc chassis rails the wheel lock would be next to nothing and wheels would scrub out
