On the yellow crane have you done any mods with extending the reach and the supports etc or just left it as it is? I've seen a few people have done changes to the plans I have the yellow France and the bulldozer

The yellow crane died run a little stiff if not used for a while. I think this is simply because the rubber wheels get stuck, once it moves in and out a few times the movement is noticeably smoother
As for the supports, yes, they could be more efficient, the HIAB truck has s much better method to extend but ultimately none of the stabiliser methods on any of them with as well as they should, and I don't think they will anything soon simply because of the weight then then to counter
Short of making then metal I can't see a way around it

Dojj small air Rams on each stabiliser would work. There is a guy in Holland I think it is that sells plans with improvements for Lego builds, I'll find it and let you know or do s search on YouTube/search on net for him.

it is pricey, but the overall worth is based on what you are going to do with it
it took 3 of us a week to build it slowly together as a family and it's fun to play with
i got mine for Ł150 so it was Ł20 off which made it more of a worthy purchase for me

If anybody's interested I'm selling 3 of my models
The big rc bulldozer not selling now.
The big Volvo rc shovel sold to dojj,gutted
And the green recovery truck sold
All are 100% complete with their excellent condition boxes and instructions.
Selling to make room for the new models I gave and to finish off my saph cosworth.

i think there would be some serious interest in a big rig 18 wheeler type thing, but it would be simple with the only needs being steering and the trailer legs needing winding up and down which is probably why it's not going to make production

If you go on YouTube and type in Lego technic trucks you will see some where the trailer Un-hooks themselves and also vehicles can drive off them.
What about a monster truck style set, could see a few people getting together to race them.
