Yeah mate, Gaz emailed some over to me last night

The jacking points have suffered the usual Sierra fate so need repairing but I've seen worse!

Very happy with the progress so far! Looking forward to getting it back and building it up
One thing I'm not so happy about is the fact that I appear to have been stitched up by the person I bought it from as I still have not received the V5 for it and I bought the thing over 3 and a half months ago. It does not take that long for a V5 to arrive, I bought a Focus recently and the logbook arrived within 2 weeks and I took the private plate off my RS and all the docs arrived within 2 weeks too. He won't even reply to my messages. Even more fucking annoying is the fact that he is a fellow PF member.
I'm sure a few of you will recognise the car from the sale thread a little while ago but for those of you who don't, his user name on here is Auldy from Oban in Scotland. So beware if you are thinking of purchasing anything from him as you may find not all is as it should be. A mate of mine has had an issue with this user too but that is not for me to speak about but did actually warn me but I gave Iain the benefit of the doubt.
I will do a seperate thread as I don't want anyone else having a problem too.
Shame really as he seemed a really nice guy in person.

There's always something ain't there Gaz
Hopefully you get the V5 business sorted out but like you say, it's doesn't take 3 months to get the logbook back. We just sold the audi and got a meriva including all the private plate stuff took 2 weeks max.

Gaz is definitely cracking on!
Makes such a change to use somebody who cares about he's doing mate, we've both been done up like kippers by bodyshops eh?!
It is a shame mate but seems to be quite common now
I ummed and aaaghd about it mate as it was 500 miles away from where I live but I have always wanted a crystal blue saph and I was so fed up with my white one so I bit the bullet and went for it.
Just a shame he can't be arsed to sort the V5 out
Cheers mate
It'll get sorted mate
It's hardly hassle sorting it out, fill it out, post it and wait! Job done!
How's the Escort going? Don't suppose you've used it much with the weather being how it is!

Well there's been a bit more progress
I'll let the pics do the talking!

Very happy with the way it's turned out!
Can't believe how quick Gaz has turned it around! Gaz has had it just over a month! It took the guy that did my white one 3 months to get to 1/4 of what Gaz has done and it wasn't a great job at that either
Can't thank Gaz enough for what he's done
Looking forward to getting it back and built up, need to get it done as quick as possible.

That underside is looking much better.
As for V5 not arriving, If you have new keeper supplement just claim for a new V5 stating you never received it from previous seller. It does not cost you a penny.

It's not a problem as I now have another ID to put on it (the shell has never had an ID assigned to it).
Cheers mate

Top job that. Gaz doesnt even do this as a job full time. He told me he does it for pocket money.
When i got my rear arches replaced ages ago and also got a full respray. It took 3 months and i could see signs of rust coming back through.
Ive had my cossie back from gaz over a year ago,the car has sat through 2 winters on the drive and the arches are as good as the day Gaz did them.

That's the difference between someone who takes pride in what they do or just lashes stuff up to get it out of the door quick.
Hopefully it shouldn't take too long

Got sent some more photos from Gaz so I thought I'd stick them up
Front bumper, grille trim and rear light panel primered:

Painted:

Lacquered:

Only reason I had the number plate panel painted is because the back panel has been drilled for it plus it means I can swap between smoked lenses or Amber's as and when I fancy a change. It was actually my mates idea after he had the same problem on his crystal blue one years ago.

Yeah I didn't think about painting the panel until my mate said about it!
I've got to get the wheels refurbed again anyway but I was going to get them done in silver but not sure!
I never planned to do any of this, the car only came off the road because the alternator packed up!

I can't wait either! I ain't had a working cossie for 5 years!

Hopefully mate!

Got the car back from Gaz the other day and got it home so the build up has now begun!
Didn't get much done today as the cold was starting to get to me a bit but made a good start!
On the way home from Gaz's:

Got the top part of the dash in:

Looks better now it's all one colour!

Painted number plate panel:

Need to get cracking as I want to actually have a Cossie to rather than work on this year! Lol!

He's a long way away from me (260 miles each way) but I was so sick and tired of getting tucked up by bodyshops that I was happy to travel the distance to someone proper, I will be getting Gaz to paint the rest of the car at some point after its built as I'm not 100% happy with it
Cheers mate
Yours looks really good as well, lots of good work gone into that one!
Thanks mate! It needs painting on the outside for me to happy with it but I need to get it built up first!
Cheers mate, Gaz has done a really good job of repairing those!
I haven't got Whatsapp anymore as it was pissing me off, I'll drop you a text later
It'll defo be on the road soon mate, just waiting for my engine to be finished then I can crack on
How's your one going?
