Nice ride. I have an M52 E30 and love them.
If its running genuine E30 M3 struts, hubs ect they're worth about Ł2k now a days.
How is the rear diff secured? You'll have to be careful if its still on the single ear mounting.
I always wanted an E30 that spat flames when I changed gear.
Didn't Ginge? build one, some user off here built one years ago...

I had to get the rear end strengthened. bent and torn diff mountings and the rear axle mounts also needed toughened up.

just love the way that looks and sits..
personally I'd use a smaller tail pipe.. It's just looks a bit OTT compared the to the rest of the car..

That's lovely, I'm an E34 5 series man really, but that looks spot on.

Love it, I too remember the max power one. I had an e30 m3 evo and a 325i sport back in the day. I don't think e36 M3 wheels would look nice but alpinas would look good.

Wow i honestly never thought i'd see this back on the road again after i sold it
was sold to a lad over in Haltwhistle and last i knew he had replaced all the panels and painted it (6 yrs ago)
does look superb now though, was awesome fun that car loved to go sideways
the only achilles heal was the brakes not being servo assisted and being a homemade pedal box
also the BSS wheels it had fitted were ultra rare and properly light weight
rather bad video from 7yrs ago on a disused industrial estate

Team HOTHOT!
That's going back some years!
I sold it to Adrenaline Junkie on here, who then had it a bit before Matt (?) (Silky16v) had it - Last I saw after that really was pictures of it in bits!
Great to see it back on the road, looks superb with the dolphin grey paint - Much better than the black paint that was on it just to get it on the road!
Pedalbox wasn't home made Matt (?) - It was from JJC Race & Rally IIRC, wasn't the best but with the limited space it was all that was available at the time, in the time I had to get it to FordFair that year. Lack of servo assist was an issue though - caused a few hairy moments when I had it!
There was plenty of work to be done when I passed it on too, it certainly wasn't a minter by any standard, but a decent base for working with
The running gear was genuine E30 M3 stuff too for the hubs etc - it's like rocking horse shit to find now!

Team HOTHOT!
Here are a few pictures of how it started off!
Then it went on to this:
With a few M3 bits thrown in too:
Some expensive BBS Wheels too:
Then it ended up looking pretty reasonable for a quick job!
On track at Ford Fair 2006 (I think it was 2006?)
What a lot of laughs I had in that motor! Can't believe it's so many years ago!

long time ago Gracey, soz thought pedal box was homemade, maybe it was swapped around before i bought it cause it looked awful and bits of metal just welded here and there
i got the short straw as the engine died not long after i had it and the back arms were all knacked so i fitted new z3 arms and poly bushes and new suspension springs with narrower tyres to get the ride height down, this helped massively with traction
pics of engine bay after i rebuilt it

Really interesting to see how it started out... I had just assumed it was a 325i sport with a cossie lump so I was shocked to see it started out a bog standard spec car - epic!

Yeah its weird looking at the original photos. Could have never imagined it looking like this. Its a really comfy car to drive and very fast as well so im really happy with it. Just need to change out the box when i get home and then get the engine in for a health check at sitech in Fife.
