Great work again.
My rack mounting question has been answered
With using 15" wheels I take it the rack is slightly higher?

so a few more bits

so im changing the pedal box as it was a puma s1600 made to fit a ka

it had alloy spacer plates inside and out

and it was ok but not pretty so need to make it mint

it used original plastic clutch master cylinder which was fine but i wanted it 100 % so i gonna fit a matching alcon cylinder for clutch , so 3 in a row looking neat

also wanted to get rid of nuts and bolts so i made some studs and tigged them to more plate that i welded inside

hey

so back to front suspension issues

the car always ran high due to a lack of suspension travel and being on 15 rims

measuring a sensible sumpguard to ground height and jacking suspension up to rideheight

there was 25mm left of travel left oooops

the proflex have 150mm total travel which isnt great but it is what it is

ideally would change to fiesta r2 reigers which give an extra 60mm travel and are better in every way apart from the price tag

so i will change topmounts to a turret design and adjustable camber

also it will be moved due to wider track and adding more caster

What a mint bit of fabrication, going to look nuts when finished. Are you putting sportka bumpers on it, to get wider track ??

yes sport ka bumper s with a few modifications

better fixings as ka arches seem to fall off regularly but take a age to remove if you want to remove it

Been awhile since I updated

I have been busy with work and also have another little project on the go at the moment , a nissan !!

Anyway back to the ka

I have designed and had made bespoke top mounts , which allow adjustable camber and can be turreted or just a plate in standard turret

The design is based on ideas I have seen over the years working in motorsport it is a reasonable priced solution to improve suspension

Anyway

I'm quite happy with the result

We are now fitting a new t45 weld in cage and moving the bars on to the turrets for a bit of extra support

One step forward two steps back but it the only way if you want to do it right
