Default How difficult is......

Converting my MFI 1.6i escort to
•1.6 efi turbo
•2.0 zetec turbo
•2.0 zetec twin40's
Can't decide which one to do liking the twin 40's at the mo

In a nut shell

•1.6 efi turbo--------------cheap to do
•2.0 zetec turbo-----------were do u stop with power, could cost u loads
•2.0 zetec twin40's-------- will sound quality, but no lag .lol

It'll be a challenge to the wallet, but never impossible. Depends which route you choose to go first. Cvh rst would be the most straight forward IMO.

Is the silver top 2L the best to use??

Not so much best. I would go for a focus blacktop. But that's just my opinion. Do some research! Alot of research before you start spending. Get your plan, rough prices etc. add about a 3rd to the overall costs to cover little bits and bobs, then get stuck in!

I think the only noticeable difference is the water pump goes the opposite way on the mondeo. So focus just for less hassle. IMO the blacktop is slightly more refined to the silver top. So that's the way I would go.

I remember the messing about I had to do years ago when I did the conversion on my escort. I knew a bloke on EVO that helped me out with his knowledge oh and the mondy zetec needs the sump changing and the oil pick up changing to a 1.8 focus/escort/fiesta item so the exhaust runs the right side of the sump
