Got to be kind and run it in properly first though as its such low mileage on the engine.

Will you put stiffer springs into front for the extra weight of the engine?

Not at the moment. To be honest we've talked about it and as the ecoboost is an alloy block vs the steel block on the sigma the weight difference is less than 100kg. I'm 130+ so i have more of an effect on it and when I've got another passenger in the car it doesn't make a great deal of difference. Obviously it's not exactly the same but I'm not banking on it having too detrimental an impact. I'll know more when I eventually drive it and then get it corner weighted

it must be so nice to wok on modern cars where you can strip down the front of the motor to leave a great big gapping hole to work on stuff

hot like the old school motors with a sodding great bit of front end that always gets in the way

Saw that front end on Will's FB, and immediately said "It's done!"....but obviously, a car like this is never totally done

Are you sure about the Sigma engine being iron? Somehow, i had on my mind that all Sigmas where alloy...

Sigma engine is indeed an alloy block - not iron as I first suggested to Tim.

Yes, the shiny pipe is going to get powder coated black. We left it uncoated to avoid any scuffing / scratching during the installation.

MOT is booked for first thing monday morning and having seen it idling at lambda 1.00 earlier, i'm confident it'll pass

As Will said above and the map is pretty much finalised through Will's technical partner although after the initial 500 to 1000 mile break in period at Rev limited 4000RPM we will sort out the air filter most likely, remove the limiter and dyno it and Will can tweak it to the specific mods that are fitted =]

Unfortunately due to a fuel pump issue missed the MOT today so gonna have to wait a week for that....but the issue is resolved and i'm told that up until it occurred the car behaved itself very well.

Anyway this video lifted my spirits after hearing we had missed our MOT.

For your viewing pleasure

Cheers!

annoying that we missed the MOT yesterday.....especially at this time of year, meaning we have to wait till the 2nd for an MOT... but a blessing in disguise it has highlighted something we need to modify in the fuel module and then it should all be absolutely fine.

Yes mate we just upgraded the return loop that is built into the standard fuel module and then send the higher pressure feed down the standard return less line.
