You would be wasting a superb function that remives the limes of idle speed control valves and if you are planning launch or antilag strategies then with active throttle it is so much simpler to set up.
I love Gems products, proven time and time again.

 

Well I've got the ACT version of the ecu, so it'd be rude not to I suppose!

 

Picked up some of the new panels today - rear 1/4's in carbon. Got the rest of the car's panels coming too, but needed these in a hurry to carry on with the build.




Also ordered the new turbo - GTX3076r with a .82 TiAL housing, TiAL MVR 44mm wastegate and TiAL Q bov. Got that to look forward to next!

Had some time on the car today. Most of the jobs now are daft little bits like this that are very time consuming. Anyway - here's a handful of rollcage gussets. Most of the day was spent making the die to press the flared holes. Once that was out of the way the gussets only took an hour or so It'll come in handy in the future though I'm sure!

 

checked my substitute email inbox after long time and saw this thread had to check up on the latest when are we actually gonna hear the engine and watch it go?? you should do a youtube vid...

Started on the rear bodywork this afternoon. One panel trimmed and temporarily held in place. Need to mark out where the arches need cutting in the morning and get stuck in.










Not the usual method for fitting theses panels, as in there'll be no filling and smoothing - she's no show pony, so would much rather have the practicality of an easy panel swap, rather than weeks in the body shop every time I break it

Got the parts for my rear uprights back from the laser cutters today. Once the passenger rear arch is on I'll start on these:



Also the inner arch just about complete - two small pieces to fill gaps at each end, then that's another job off the list.

 

Picked up another ecu this afternoon - spoilt for choice now

 

EM40?

I have found the limit of the EM36, but GEMS are working in it for me to have more switched inputs.
The more you have the more wiring you have lol

 

To me that's one of the main draws of Gems though - can't see many other manufactures being willing to do that for a customer

 

Yep, not a hope in hell Pectel will do that for you, one to ones with the hardware and software designers at GEMS adding even more to an already old design, but they still support all their even older stuff.
