As we were struggling for grip we decided to upgrade the gearbox to a VAG six speed with quaife LSD, Sachs paddle clutch and single mass fly wheel all good for 600ftlb
Vag box mounted to the engine and ready to fit
And in she goes
On the remodeled engine mounts
Moved the original two pot front calipers to the rear and fitted spot calipers for the handbrake so we can still get an mot
We are using 308mm discs all round

We have chosen to fit Exige S1 clams for more airflow to the engine, better cooling and much better aero.
Trimmed and test fitted the clams, we have cut and modified the rear clam so we can remove it in less than 1 min

Coming along really well, any reason you bought the exige rear clam and cut it rather than getting a motorsport elise version?
The speed your going along makes me think you will have yours done before mine, I like the rear caliper setup, contacted him about a set for mine next year to get the back end of mine braking better

A bit more done
Made a bracket for the gear change cables and a heat shield as the run quite close to the exhaust manifold
Fitted the coil pack
New custom GKN drive shafts fitted and handbrake cables fitted
Made a bracket for the oil cooler
Mounted the pump for the charge cooler
Made a bracket to fit the air filter
Loads of room behind the engine now having moved the firewall
Made a bracket for the gear change cables and a heat shield as the run quite close to the exhaust manifold

Just spotted this thread! I personally love the look of the Exige so looking forward to seeing the finished car. Should sound the bollocks with an Audi 20V in it!

Would like to Race it but we are struggling to find a series that it would be eligible for.
We may to a couple of rounds of Time Attack, have heard the guys are really friendly and I think it would be a good experience.
Your car is looking ace, I must come over and have a look soon.

A bit more progress this week
Exhaust downpipe made
Rear diffusser made
Front brake fitted and plumbed
Rear brake bias valve fitted
Remote oil filter fitted and plumbed, oil cooler fitted, fuel system plumbed
Wheels test fitted
Dave aka wizzisat114 came down and worked his magic on the wiring, he fitted a couple of extra relays for the charge cooler and turbo cooler and wired in the emergency power disconnect.
