Air box wise it has a cone filter, Im thinking of having a hunt around on ebay for the 2ltr mondeo throttle body but I can never remember which one is the right one to buy.

No idea exactly how rich it is running but you certainly smell it, I think I might aslo have a leaking exhaust where the flexi is so im going to see if I can patch that up tomorrow when Ive got the car on a ramp. If not it'll need a new flexi welding onto the existing exhaust.

Yeh the one off the silver top engine. You will have to swap the throttle linkage over and bore the inlet manifold out too.

You can see the difference here between the two.

You can see how much has to be bored out for the tb to flow the air.

You need to swap the throttle switch round too cause it catches the manifold.

First track day of the year done and I wasnt impressed with how the car ran. I need to get back out and tinker around with it a bit I think.

Got a lot of jobs that I now need to do;

Oil leak
Blowing exhaust
Over fuelling
Poly bush torque link

The bodywork also needs some paint, front bumper and wing being the main thing, got a new front splitter as well to fit to replace my broken CF one. Abit of an image change as well for the car is in order, im bored of how it looks so im going to revamp it a bit of the next few weeks, most people wont like it but who cares!!

Got plenty of pictures from the weekend that im going to go through tonight and post up...

one for now!

love the car. looking at the pics though i see your front splitter is not going to work as its not air damed. there should be no air gaps above it. it needs to be a sealed fixing to the bumper.

Correct, It was a temporary bodge after the splitter fell off, I have a brand new OE Racing Puma splitter ready to go on, will be doing a much better job of fitting it in a couple of weeks, bumper needs some paint so will be getting that done as well.

Is it that good. I bought one months ago but never got round to fitting it. Can you notice the difference with it fitted.

Im just scared in case the bolts are siezd in the bottom arms. Like they were in a mk5 fiesta me and the mrs had years ago. They were a bastard to get out.

Its the one mod I would recommend to any puma owner, makes the car feel much better. I had to replace mine a year or so ago after I bent it on the car and it was really noticeable that i'd taken it off.

I know what your saying about the bolts though, they can be a right pain! Id replace the bolts for some new ones and give them plenty of copper grease.

I will have to get my finger out and get it fitted. The size of the sub frame you wouldnt think it would flex.

It wasnt flexing that caused mine to bend, I stupidly tried to get the car into a field and bottomed out on it so it bent it up and caused it to vibrate like mad!

There thats what the ZR was meant to be just my everyday car and once finished with the Escort start tracking the Evo again but to be honest I have just as much fun using the ZR. Good thing about the normal cars is it doesn't cost stupid money to have a good time you can get one quite well sorted for a fun days out for £1500 where as that would only buy my clutch on the Evo. How do we get a feature on IG by the way? I did get a like thanks very much for my pic this morning (black ZR with Orange wheels and trim )

Ah thats your ZR then.... I have it ready for a feature, will be posted up soon. If you just use #TrackAddict when you post the picture i'l find it. I browse the pictures most nights and screen shot the best ready for a feature.

Update on the Puma.... Its leaking oil, has no fuel and its annoying me. On the plus side, it has a brand new FRP splitter now to replace the battered one and its going for MOT, new centre section exhaust and oil leak diagnosis tomorrow evening.

Really hoping its nothing major like cranck/cam seal, a rocker cover or leaky easy to get to gasket would be an ideal fix!

Got another 12 months MOT last night, turns out ive done just over 600 miles in the last 12 months... not good enough! Must use the car more!!

Fitted my replacement centre section exhaust as well that piper kindly supplied to me. £63 delivered which I thought was a pretty good deal.

Also narrowed down the cause of the oil leak to either rocker cover gasket or cam seal, cleaned the engine down with brake cleaner so just need to see where it appears from.

Time to get the car prepped and ready for Mallory now
