Default missing belt HELPP!!!

i have bought a escort rs turbo mk4 1988 model it was a half done project by someone else so there parts missing here there and everywere but my main problem is just above the gear box theres like some sort of pump thing that has a cog on end looks like a belt is ment to go on this any ideas what could be as i have got the car and turbo is seized so didnt no if it was anything to do with that and also cars got a slight knock on cylinder 1 any ideas cheeers

The cog pump thing is the abs brake system, for it to work it should have 2 small belts 1 off either drive shaft. They need the correct cv joints on gearbox though as they are toothed to drive the belts

As said its for the abs system but don't get excited about it having abs because its shite

My old series 2 used to chuck the belts off on heavy braking
Best to get rid of all that bullshit and do with out mate

Yea I took all my abs system out on mine too, but u need to play about with brake pipes to do it properly.

thank you for this and what do i need to do to brake pipes to take the abs system out cause i am going to take engine out tomoz so would rather do it whilst everything out is they brake pipes connected to the abs system do i need to get pipes that go straight threw or what thank you
