If you invented time travel then buying a few shitty old sierras would give you mere back pocket change

well my first parcel from japan should be here tommorrow.
my timing light arrived today, so i hooked it up to number 1 and got no light flash at all ?
so i tried it on 2 - 6 cylinders and it works, checked plugs and it turns out its only running on 5 lol number 1 plug is done, and has been done a while as the bores had a good clean lol
new plugs will be here tommorrow, il do a quick comp test first before i stick the new plugs in though fingers crossed its all ok.

first parcel is here.

i fitted the c10 gtr rear boot spoiler

fitted the rear quarter skyline badges

the front chin spoiler is a c10 gtr one but its miles to narrow, im currently looking into
option for a c210 specific one that ive seen on all the ones ive seen, they are all square looking.
but as ive got it i thought sod it il chop it about and see what i can do, i managed to trim it and get it so it will fit by fixing it from behind the front valance. its just wedged in there at the moment but i am actually liking the shape of it being abit shark nose instead of just a square flat edge.

if it were mine i would find it hard to decide but i think if you were to take the chrome arch liners and side strip off and then spray the chrome window trims satin black it would look more moody.
Also, what PCD are the wheels? i think some 14'inch minilites or similar with some slightly stretched low profile tires would look really good on it to.

welll the decision has been made im fitting all the panels.
ive fitted a proper import front number plate
moved the rear spoiler forward 2" it sits perfect now, fitted front arches and marked up rear arches for trimming, the rear also needs to be dropped 1" more to make it sit square and rear arch gap to be correct.

the centre line in the rear arch pic is where im going to cut with a plasma cutter.
i am very happy its starting to look like how i want it. arches are going to stay black, spoilers are going to be blue.

to make the car sit square the rear needs to go down another 25mm, that will leave roughly a 25mm gap front and rear arch to tyre.
it is deciving as theres alot of tyre hidden behind the arch at the moment.

it will look something like this hopefully

i want mine to sit like the white car nice and level, so a good 1" drop at the rear will be needed with mine.

theres alot of work involved and il update more tommorrow but drivers side is trial done, passengers should be done tommorrow. i got a pic of drivers side on the ramp wheel free

i havnt painted them the shocks and springs all look new, ive just been chopping the springs lol.

the front spring is still tight in the cups even when jacked up but the rears do now come loose but there is a long cone there so they cant slip away anywhere anyway. if i want proper lowering springs i would have to probably have some made as all i can find are 30mm lowering ones and there nowhere near enough, or id have to do a coilover conversion, im gonna try it on the cut springs first anyway, ive saved all the bits ive cut of so i can work out exactly how much drop i need.

the nearside is nearly welded up now she should be on here shoes this afternoon

This is starting to look really good! Do you have any thoughts on the engine? I bet there's a few of them out there with an rb26 fitted, I bet an rb25 would be a good conversion and probably quite cost effective.

the engine will be staying i think, ive got a stock - stage 1 r32 gtr and a 600whp r33 gtr so im not chaseing power with this, i may fit some triple carbs im undecided yet til ive driven it now its running on all 6 i think it will be ok.

we got the arch extensions on today, front spoiler is just hanging in there at the moment and still everything needs painting but the look im after is definately coming now.

id also just like to put this in
a pic of when i first picked the car up about 6 weeks ago
and a pic of today the progress so far

thanks, i keep looking at the carbs and after watching the video they would sound awesome aswell, im gonna drive it first though now its running on all six properly before i spend Ł1200 odd on new triple sidedraughts.

it is crazy how much a few touches changes them, a few people loved the white car and then saw mine and said how can you even compare them, they are actually exactly the same shell which is now starting to show

thanks, i like the wheels in black but they are marmite wheels for sure, ive ordered 35mm rear spacers and 10mm front spacers so they will then sit in the arches better, the rears are 40mm in at the moment lol

even if i get some watanabee reps i will still need the spacers, the rear hubs are a long way in the arch, those mage are 7j - 31 ! massive negative offset and still 40mm in the arch !

if i do get new wheels i will need around a 9 - 10j in an et0 for the rear to get them to sit right.

thanks its coming along nicely, im still unsure on the wheels as my current wheels are very similar to original c10 gtr wheels so im not sure what to do yet, and i think im in agreance on the spoilers im going to paint them black but leave the bumpers blue so i dont end up with to much black, ive also got to do some surface rust and pickled paint repairs on the sills where the trims where ive pulled off, i just cant decide wether to go blue or black ?
if i go black the arches will look like they join along the sill with it all being black, i cant decide yet but im thinking staying blue will look better maybe

im undecided again now lol

my missus got me a model of a c10 gtr for my collection, which made me take a look and believe it or not my slot mags painted black with pertrudeing centre caps are almost identical to genuine c10 gtr wheels, so i havnt mordered anything yet, ive now got some fat wheel spacers here to fit aswell
