GPA cosworth 1986
Have done some work on the car and the rear cradle with the diff are in place.
I have earlier bought some wrc drive shafts, but they where to wide 515 mm.
If anyone need this center bored 909 shaft, plase contact and they will be sold for a nice price.

I got fixit in sweden to make me some new shaft. I tought I could use to short 2wd shafts, but the xtrac diff is of set and not the same as the viscose, so I had to order 475 and 485 mm long shafts.
I also in the process of overhauling the calipters.

Turbo, propshaft and exhaust are mounted on the car.

Mark aka Mk motorsport contacted me at the end of last year and promised to send my parts. Nothing showed up yet. Don`t buy stuff from this guy, there are other people here in Norway that also did not recive their things, or they showed up extremly "late", after a lot of phones/e-mails.

Cleaned rear bells, bolts and disc in acid to remove rust.
Also repaird one Ap calipter as a niple broke and I damaged the treads(near 30 year magnisum to steel). I had to machine in inserts.
Calipters is painted, in a metalic paint, carbon black was the closest i came to Ap orginal colour. I will try to take some pictures tomorrow

The part number are CP 3307. Same in front and rear, Just that the front has a 4 mm spacer to fit the 32 mm wide disc, commpared to the rear Who is 28 mm wide. They are made from magnesium.
I was told that they are obsolete from AP.

Ok thanks for that i have a set with discs and bells that i want to sell what are they worth
Depends on condition, all four or a set of two? For all four, about 1000Ł+. Not easy to find buyers when they are machined to fit the rare group a parts. But if they are in good shape and you find the right buyer you minst get more. Try list them on ebay.co.uk

Hi Kjetil,
I love reading about your re-build. It's good see a rally car get the treatment, and it's looking great.
Given your experience with the group a stuff I wonder if you could comment on my thread regarding suspension - specifically the bilstein bronze bushes that go inside the cases?
https://passionford.com/forum/ford-s...bilsteins.html
Have you replaced yours, and if so what were the measurements, and where did you get them from?
Cheers
Iain

do u work in oil/gas industry as the cars you have had are way out of most peoples leagues...
keep updates coming, your work is fantastic, and rare to see 909/1 off parts being made to fit.

No you didn't!
I wonder if the language barrier could be an issue,? I went out with Morten Harkets nanny for Jacob and she used to mis understand me a lot.
Who could imagine international deliveries from a small cottage industry being a problem? If you and others had a problem then perhaps the pattern suggests something else?

At the moment I`m building a new engine for my escort mark 2, a 1840 ccm crossflow. arrow 84 ccm stroker(narrow), 83,5 mm arias "one of" pistons, one of long h-rod(as light as possible, but strong, piston is 170 gram lighter than standard and H-rod 120 gram, ported gt head with max valve size, titan roller rocker and drysump, tony law "one of" manifoil, billet main caps, titan retainers, a6 cam +++, hoping to make BIG crossflow power and 9500 rpm +.
I have bought T9 5 speed tran-x with 2.5 1st and 4.1 in the diff. this project might be finished in the end of the summer.
No I don`t work in the oil/gas industry, I`m a social worker, working with child protection in institutions(15-18 boys, the tought ones).
Thanks for nice comments

You see English is a funny language. You wrote "your a funny guy" but that is not correct and I do not understand. "Your" shows possession as in your car . I think you meant "You're" as in you are a funny Guy, which I am.

A little bit more, I think she was very religious as she kept shouting "oh my God, Yes!"

I blame my wife for ruining my english.... she`s from Thailand, so my english has become much worse during the years, but it`s worth it when I go there every year to visit her family

Here is a picture of the complete rear end.
The drive shafts are made by fix-it in sweden, and i marked them and put on some transparent protective rubber film.

The engine and drive line is now complete, today I finished to paint the car inside, and will get the wiring inside back in its place.
Then I can get power to the instruments (oil pressure) and prime the engine with fresh oil.
I`am missing my craddle for the radiator and waiting for someone who will fabricate a group a swirl pot, when this is in place the engine will be ready to be started for the first time in 7-8 years.
I have plated some small parts for the braking system today, nipples etc. sorry I have no pictures, but one step closer.
