Locost super 7 / Haynes roadster project
Being unable to afford a project car, as having one in Ukraine would cost 10 times as much as in civilized countries, but dreaming about getting one every day and night, I've decided to build a car from scratch, and hopefully get some useful skills along the way ))
My choice is Locost Haynes Roadster desciribed in a book by Chris Gibbs. I'm planning to start the build lpin September, when I get back home from US, meanwhile I'm collecting information and planning everything.
My first choice was to get a sierra donor from Germany / Poland with 1.6 ohc pinto in it and rebuild/tune it in winter, cause I thought it would be a nnice starting point to learn about the engines, but now I'm thinking about 1.8 zetec + mt75, cause its lighter and will give me the same if not.more power than tuned pinto .

Sign up to locostbuilders.co.uk lots of knowledge on there about 7 style cars.
I would go with the zetec and mt75! Remeber if you are building this from scratch and all the parts are new bar the gearbox which are be rebuilt as new you can get a new registation (in the UK that is) (satin black everything)
If your up for all of the labour by a GBS Zero formally Robin Hood, they export all over the globe. They are the cheapest kit on the market.
