Well its coming together now.....
Homemade jobbie not yet finished.mountings for engine are being fabricated now and gearbox mounts are in position to accept box as per photos,and the exhaust route as shown just need enough room to allow fitting of fuel tanks at low level in front of the axle and below propshaft split to each side

Engine is now in the car, and here are a few pictures of the car with the engine in the hole, and the car outside SHP. For those who are interested in the cars themselves there is now a dedicated race series starting next year for these rsr escorts in whatever form you wish to take v8 v6 4cylinder and whatever gearbox etc you wish and the cars will have different categories to run in depending on spec. I hope it goes as well as it looks on track!!!! The piccies of that just makes me instantly want one!!With that cage design and suspension set up with the right wheels and tyre's combo it must be like a go kart!!

Quick update, The cars has been to and from SHP having brackets made for the alternator that runs of the axle and a few other things that have changed, and no doubt Lloyd will update him self.
But the engine and the gearbox is now in, it has been sent to Pro Alloy, to have all the tanks made bespoke, including his own design of fuel tank that is low and across the rear. This i think had then been powder coated.
From there it was straight on to Simpsons to make again bespoke complete manifold(s) and exhaust system.
So its getting there......Be ready for Spa next march at this rate

Well it's been on the rollers and was out having a shakedown at Snetterton yesterday. The nearest thing to an F1 car in a Mk1 escort.....
