Default 3dr Shell Strengthening?

Hi

I'm going to dismount all my 3dr sierra to change colour, So I want to ask you if there is any manual where I can check how can I improve rigidity with welding tweaks.

I can't fit a rollcage because is a car for road use (and a few trackdays)

For now I 've front and rear strut braces (I will probably modify rear strut brace to be 3 point instead 2)

I've a manual called "Competition preparation for Ford Sierra models", it says to reweld every spot-welded body pieces you can. But is more focused to use a rollcage

The spot welding is a good start and can stiffen the shell alot. I think in the book are also mentioned rails that are added under the floor these do quite alot of magic!
Next thing i would consider is strenghtening the front between the a pillars and stut tops, that is a wery weak spot on the sierra i think, escort cosworths had this allready sorted out:

Yes, it says to weld new pieces on many places. I can try to weld new metal sheets. But in many places could be difficult to obtain the perfect shade. And my skills in this are not very good. And I'm not going to pay to a professional for this as I use the car on road and don't have problems with shell stiffness.

I only want to improve the stiffness of the shell for trackdays, as is in the circuit when I miss to have more stiffnes.

Starded today to spot welding the front struts area (As I said, my welding skills are bad, so my weldings are not very good looking poke: , but I think it should work)

Have a look at an XR4Ti..... they have very stiff chassis from the factory.... the 909 motorsports stiffeners for the 3dr Sierra's are a direct copy. With a set of strut bars an XR4Ti is a pretty stiff car
